Well, if they are publicly announced on the 15th then they would have sent invites out already with enough time incase someone says no and they can move down the list.

Not one single kid from NJ made the 07, 08 or 09 regional teams. (Interesting fact, the 09 regional team is made up mostly of Massachusetts, PA and NY Kids. The head 09 regional coach is from PA, but also served 3 years as head coach in MA. The 09 regional gk coach is from NY. Most of the MA kids all play for the same club. I guess you can call favoritism on this years regional teams. Anyone need anymore reasons why you should stay away from ODP? James Galanis, you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing this to happen.

I love the parents that think making odp is something special. News flash, they take anyone. I saw a parent posting on fb that their 2011 made odp and they are bragging about how it's such an amazing opportunity. We know a kid thay never touched a soccee ball their entire life, had no idea what a free kick was or what off sides is, but they made odp. Stop thinking it's something more than what it is.

My kid knows three of the girls that made the 09 regional team. They weren't even at the regional tryouts in CT so how did they make the team?

Most kids that make the regional team wouldn’t crack an ECNL starting roster. The talent pool is very thin in ODP it a lot of RL/travel level players.

All of the 08 girls quit playing this year. That’s why none of them are there. They’re too busy with ECNL or GA now.

this thread is about ODP REGIONAL. Most of the kids that made this would kick your kids butt on the field

I can speak from experience. My d did odp for the last three years. We watched, year after year, how the talent level dropped drastically. This past season was a joke, and the tournaments resembled rec games. I listened to parents on the sidelines brag about how amazing thier kids are, how great they were playing and thought to myself, they are delusional. If you honestly think the talent level at odp is as good as kids on PDA Blue, Matchfit, Penn Fusion, etc, you all need to get you head examined. ODP is great for the kids at the younger ages. Once they get into U15 and above, ODP is a bunch of township players. Not knocking them, not everyone is at the same skill level. There is a reason why you don't see ECNL players on ODP teams anymore. They go where the talent is. ODP is not the place. My daughter was playing beneath her skill level this past season, and ODP actually hurt her game. Most of these kids are EDP level 4 players. To brag about how they would kick my kids butt on the field is a joke. Nothing wrong with playing EDP level 4, again, not everyone us at the same skill level. My d was in her first year of eligibility for recruitment this year and she already has two offers on the table. We leave next week to visit the schools before she commits. ODP is not the same as it used to be. It was only the best of the best thay was excepted. Now, anyone with a pulse makes the teams.

The 09 regional team is all edp level kids. And yet some jackoff is posting they are the best of the best. People are so delusional.
