Not one single kid from NJ made the 07, 08 or 09 regional teams. (Interesting fact, the 09 regional team is made up mostly of Massachusetts, PA and NY Kids. The head 09 regional coach is from PA, but also served 3 years as head coach in MA. The 09 regional gk coach is from NY. Most of the MA kids all play for the same club. I guess you can call favoritism on this years regional teams. Anyone need anymore reasons why you should stay away from ODP? James Galanis, you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing this to happen.

My kid knows three of the girls that made the 09 regional team. They weren't even at the regional tryouts in CT so how did they make the team?

Most kids that make the regional team wouldn’t crack an ECNL starting roster. The talent pool is very thin in ODP it a lot of RL/travel level players.

I saw a parent posting on fb that their 2011 made odp and they are bragging about how it's such an amazing opportunity. We know a kid thay never touched a soccee ball their entire life, had no idea what a free kick was or what off sides is, but they made odp. Stop thinking it's something more than what it is.
this thread is about ODP REGIONAL. Most of the kids that made this would kick your kids butt on the field
