Reminds me of last year when D was talking about her HS teammates being impressed/intimidated by a player that had committed to a D1 school on an upcoming team. Girl committed to some low level sub 200ish D1 on the other side of the country that you'd have to look up to even know they were a D1 school. Ds HS team SUCKS, filled with rec ball and EDP players. The fact that they think that because someone committed D1 means they must be great is just dumb. That team actually lost and the D1 player was horrible, turns out she's a bench player on her club team.

This is funny lets say there are 4 ECNL and 5 GA teams with 20 girls per team. That 190 girls per year +- the 15 or so that play out of state and come in NJ to play. 190 per grade x 4 is 760 girl in HS, the are 426 HS's in NJ which translates to roughly 1.8 girls per team. When you factor in the privates that will have way more then 1.8 girls. A HS is lucky to have 1 of these players. While the overall level maybe bad that 1 player will have a really tough time standing out. Through 3 years of HS soccer I can tell right away which girls are at this level even when on a really bad team.

PS. Someone with a high level of soccer understanding then you, though the above mentioned girl was good. I can smell your jealousy from here.

Just a player committed to Div 1 doesn't mean they are good
They probably received and academic scholarship and will be a practice player... Schools need practice players.

With that, the player can post committed to play DIV 1.... actually they are a bench player.

Just look at CSA....
how many are practice players at the college level

Lets Count... Oh yeah don't forget the 07s.... how many will warm the bench.... Maybe Mom and dad will call
the coach....

Why kind of a loser counts how many little girls play in hs that play in the money grab leagues , no matter what kids play in let them have fun , the average pay for the WPSL is 65k , so in the end who gives a crap , and my kids play on so called club teams that buffoons like you worship and half the kids stink

99% of players will not play pro soccer.

So besides soccer, your personal goal should be to graduate college with as little debit as possible.

Go to college to get an education for your future., whatever college you choose then go tryout for the team and if u don’t make it that’s ok , and news flash college coaches like good players n people they could care less about leagues they don’t get paid a lot and don’t stay up late at night watching parent cell phone highlight reels , it’s not that big of a deal to them go to there camp and play in front of them they’ll take a quick peek n move on to the next it’s like herding cattle , if a player is actually really good the coaches will go to them not the other way around and being a good hs player does matter trust me

Clubs destroyed local sports and now attacking HS until they get all the idiots parents money they won’t stop , with travel and hotels pay around 8 to 10 k a year ( I’ve done it ) and for what to have some middle aged fat guy who hates the parents and kids oversee your kid scrimmage 3 days a week and teach them nothing , and the sales pitch is we provide the pathway !

Parents tell your kids have a blast play hs soccer it wiill provide them wt memories forever , not at “showcases “staying at crap hotels and sitting around wt kids from 20 different towns on their cell phones ! Become an all state player , better sales pitch to a college coach than I had an assist in my ecnl game , all kids play club college coaches don’t care about leagues anymore it’s 2024 they miss on good players far less than ever before
