A soccer trainer is worth what people are willing to pay just like any other sports performance trainer. My daughter used a trainer to get another perspective and eyes on her to recommend changes. A trainer will not make your daughter a better player when it comes to the essential which is athleticism, speed & quickness but they could help you with your skill and technique. There are so many ways to improve on your own using cones and “wall ball” . There are tutorial videos available online if you do not have the funds for private sessions.

The best trainers are current (in summer) and former (rest of year) college players which you can always get under $100/hour. The college players are more up to date on modern science and methods and aren’t usually as much of con men with the bs free (or even paid) social media posts of top players.

I only said that the trainer has a good work ethic that he learned from his father. I made no mention of the money involved, as I would agree that the hourly rate mentioned is exorbitant. I’m not sure how this is a controversial take.
