Someone recommend RC Performance training for my kid. We watched some of his clips on Instagram and thought they looked pretty good so I went to his website to check on pricing and availability. Holy sh*t!!!! $350 a hour for a private with this guy? Who in their right mind pays this kind of money? And if you wanted one of his other trainers it's $205 a hour. Is this the norm? I thought the sessions would have been $100 - $125 a hour, but $205 & $350?? Sad thing is, he wouldn't charge this if people weren't paying it. Is there some sort of college scholarship attached to the $350 a hour?? Unbelievable.

He has a very affordable group drop in session package on Friday and Monday nights. It used to be super high level. Unfortunately, it’s changed over the past years. iIt’s no longer only for high level players and the group has turned into average travel kids. Too bad he doesn’t split the levels up.

I'll tell you why.... he posts alot of videos with AM from PDA Blue. She's an exceptional player, and for parents that are not familiar with her, they see these videos of her and think, "wow, that kid is amazing, I need to get my daughter to train with him" thinking thay RC developed this kid and that his trainings are so good, look what they did for her. Sad thing is, we were doing a session at RC Performance when RC was doing a private. The kid looked like a d level rec player, but the parents were thinking RC would turn her into AM. Parents are so delusional.

There are some useful things about private training, if the kid really has talent. You can fine-tune technique, you can get a lot of reps in, you can really focus on an area of weakness with a trainer who knows how to fix problems. But a good trainer can do that for $75-90, and you don't need endless sessions; that kind of work is for professionals with trainers who are also at a different level.
The people paying these prices for multiple sessions for their children with these specific trainers are dreaming of things that will never happen, and nobody on Talking Soccer will ever be able to persuade them differently.

One thing TS posters will never be shy about it telling everyone else how to spend their money. They do so while sitting in their Range Rover in line getting their Starbucks.
