SJEB cancelled the game an hour before kick off - said no referees… They were due to play at FA instead but the SJEB coach has too many other teams to work around they never got it scheduled. After being given multiple dates by the FA coach, the game never got scheduled because of SJEB so that goes in as a forfeit. The league can see the chat and the times so guess they make the final decision.

Now the truth: The first game was cancelled by the league bc there weren’t any refs bc an EDP tourney that was going on same weekend: Both teams were informed several hours in advance. FA was still in their PJs. But then somehow FA got the league to side with them about having the make-up at their fields, even though the original game is scheduled to be a home game for SJEB. SHEJ agreed.. The league had to step in again to set the date since the season was coming to an end.and FA cancelled bc their 12s were at an ID clinic.

I mean, while this is entertaining to us neutrals what do the rules say, should be pretty simple to work out plus the other normal steps in league soccer. The league doesn’t decide refs, the club has an assignor, the club and the assignor know the given refs for every weekend days before the weekend comes. So this would be a lack of organization from SJEB. They would have known well before the game they had no refs, this is how all clubs works even town teams, which I used to be a PM for.
So reasons for a game to be switched; if a game is cancelled if no refs show up and the team has travelled or of the game is postponed/canclled while the team is already traveling. So I am assuming EDP looked at this as a lack of organization from the coach and club and they informed tfa too late. so that one is really simple to work out that SJEB was in the wrong, otherwise it would have stayed as an SJEB game.
then on other dates, we will never know because we don’t know what was in the chat and people are definitely stirring the pot without knowing the facts. But the game has been updated a couple times, so only time will tell. If this goes in as an a win for either team, then it meant one was avoiding playing the game or they couldn’t provide an assistant or other coach to attend the game. EDP are clear that other team conflicts isn’t a reason to not schedule a game and if you are not proactive in accepting dates then the game is a forfeit.
only time will tell, but the start of this is already showing the SJEB are very likely in the wrong given the ref mix up.

FA is ranked #1 in NJ yet ranked #8 in NJ in schedule or SOS. SJEB, CSA, MFA, PDA, Real, A Game, and even PDA S all play harder teams.
