At these ages I'd be more concerned if the coach didn't have more than 1 or 2 teams at the same time. This is their main job in many cases

Is it common that one coach coaches 3 teams at the same time?

Not a concern. There are rare instances where there is a conflict and a Director or someone needs to step in, but they are rare.
Put it this way - coaches need to make a living so they either need to carry a full list of teams, or clubs need to hire more coaches. There already aren't enough qualified coaches, so getting more and having a coach only coach one team means expenses will skyrocket...and so will tuition costs for players.
Agree, though, that if a coach is putting multiple teams (and ages, abilities) through the same training it's not good for anyone out there. It's either too easy, or too difficult.
