My daughter accepted a spot on a new team (U15 next year). In general (I am going to speak to her coach, just want to see what happens in general) when do the new girls start practicing with their new team (even if only 1 day a week). Is it weird if there are girls still there that were cut (they have every right to finish out the year)? What happens with your club? I know officially is all seems to happen August 1st, but the sooner the better, right?

When would you expect to start practicing with your new team?

You people are nuts no where did the original poster state leaving the old team to start with the new team just about training with them and there’s nothing with doing that as long as it doesn’t take away from your current team. Original poster never stated leaving their team early. And if you never transitioned from one team to another it’s an honest question of that typically looks like

Every day you spend with the team you’re breaking up with is one less day you’re growing with your new team.

If it's a situation where there's psychological impact ok yes, leave now. But that's rare. Most times it just didn't work out, need a better fit etc. Teach your kid about making a commitment. Chances are they want to finish with their friends anyway.
U15 will be high school age girls, and most clubs do not have practice until winter due to most players will do soccer in their schools, isn't it? So it does not help much consider such a long time without practice anyway
