    ECNL/RL Realignment?

With YMS, MFA Mercer, etc. getting RL badges will the conferences be realigned? If RL realigns, does ECNL too? Seems like a lot of teams could play mostly local games if things were shuffled around.

Where is the announcement for this?

there is quite a bit of chatter on the PA page that ECNL is breaking the alignment of North Atlantic NL and RL, meaning they will "regionalize" the RL teams so likely having a separate Maryland/PA RL (Adding a bunch of teams like YMS, Reading Rage). PDA's teams and Matchfit would slot into a NJ area RL playing Copa, MF Shore, Crush, PSA, SCP, etc.

This is the way ECNL Mid-Atlantic works today with Virginia having their own RL separate from the Carolinas

MFA Mercer boys already have all the ECNL and RL badges.

funny, so upper club B teams can compete with lower club A teams for a chance to be promoted into ECNL with the upper clubs A teams.

I head MF Mercer got a RL badge, but MFS is going to be using it for their B team. They will both play in ECRL2 and this way they can get promoted to ECNL

            its confirmed!!!!!

Lol, confirmed by who, you? MFS got the RL badge awhile ago. Nothing to do with Mercer. There is no "B" team at the shore, the entire branch is RL. I think that maybe before you post you do some research? And don't get confused with the 09 ECNL team from the shore. They are technically the North ECNL team that just practices in Tinton Falls because that's where all the kids are from, Central and South Jersey. The 09s home games are in Denville.

There is not going to be any ECRL2. It sounds like they are breaking the mirroring with ECNL conferences. If I had to guess, you will likely have a true New England RL (MA, CT, RI), a New York, a New Jersey and a MD/PA. In the current New England, North Atlantic and Northeast RLs there are 38 teams, 41 if you count YMS, Reading and Ukies. You can probably do 12 teams in each region

almost half the teams are PDA. New England is a little silly also - All of these clubs with multiple teams

My D plays for MFS …if those brackets become reality, I would leave ECRL and play EDP. Part of the fun is to play teams outside of NJ.

I agree. How many pda teams do we need to play. ??

A realignment is inevitable. It wont look too different for sure. Most likely this is what the league will look like in the fall. It sounds like they are also expanding the pre-ECNL leagues to both 9v9 ages. US Club seems to be aiming to completely gut EDP to where it will just be town travel teams, so in 2 years, EDP is basically going to be MOSA.

It was pretty clear the Northeast and North Atlantic RL leagues were just a temporary stop-gap.
