I thought they were all going to play their age group? Some still playing up. Why? Have they considered dropping some and recruiting better players?

They were selling the team as if only 2012 and they were to bring down the best players. One left because she knew wasn’t good team.

My simple rule is this: If the kid is not starting when playing up they should play their age. If the kid is a starter they should play up until they get beat out for the position.

The MFA 2012 team will be solid whether the girls are all playing their age or not. It’s all about development of each player to her full potential and not just winning games or tournaments unless when it truly matters. Fortunately MFA has the wonderful luxury of deciding how best to use these wonderful players to both advance the club, team, and their skills. The future looks very bright

The girl that left was due to ECNL travels being overwhelming for her family - they opted to play local (nothing wrong with that). The girls’ parents obviously trust their development to MFA coaching staff perhaps you should let them be.

C'mon be real, we all knew those girls wouldn't be playing 2012, some of you were truly dreaming if you bought that at contract time. Even if the existing 2012 team was unreal, no parent with a kid talented enough to start a year up would allow that. Just not good for their development. Moonlighting "when appropriate as dictated by MFA coaches", i.e. coming to save the day when needed is a much better arrangement for them.

the 2012's are registered to play in U13 for the Fall. So are you saying that 2013's will be playing against 2011's?

Reality is you can’t please everyone!!! Some people will always complain no matter what MFA does with these talented girls. Some are bound to complain if thsee girls were limited to playing their age resulting in some annihilation of opponents while others will complain if these girls only played up questioning why they are not playing their age to make the team stronger. It’s a no win situation for MFA as some people will always hate.
