2013 Girls Age Group

I find these forums hilarious. 30 year ref here, EDP, USYS GA and ECNL. I’ve been around a ton of young ladies that have progressed to the highest levels of soccer (including WNT players) and it’s funny to hear on this site that some 9 or 10 year old is a star because they score tons of goals or project a team on this premise.

The kids I remember at this age that went on to be great weren’t big or huge goal scorers, they were good but had unbelievable soccer IQ. They passed well, understood using space and had good composure. Of course they were great athletes, but you can always tell unselfish players that understand soccer.

If I had to pick 11 girls at this age in NJ to start a team, maybe 2 from PDA and 2 from MF. The rest from other teams including ones no one seems to respect.

Not the op but it doesn't matter. The cream starts to rise to the top mid to late middle school. Top players from other clubs will move to the better clubs U12-U14. Book mark this and re read it even your kid is U15.
