GAK is more of a low T2 team than high T3 team. Tier 4 is more of Boca, MFS, Old Bridge.

Old bridge? There are a ton of teams better than old bridge. They played up in EDP 6, EDP 3 this year at age.
A very good town team, but I’ll take SJSL town teams over them in most circumstances.

Only 20 teams in the top flight of State Cup. is it always that low of a number? 31 total teams are in Premier 1 and 2. there are 3 PA teams (YMS, Council Rock, Philadelphia SC) and 1 NY team (World Class). that leaves 28 teams and only 20 entered. No PDA Blue, PDA White, PDA South, CSA Bergen, NJ Crush, Real 2014s or Torpedoes B team.

I understand the concept of dividing the tournament regionally for less travel, but they are also all from the same divisions which are also divided regionally. I would have like to have seen different match-ups in the state cup. 9 of the 20 teams in the State cup will have their first game in the cup be the same match-up as one of their league games. Match Fit Morris vs Football Academy. Match Fit Mercer vs NJ Premier. winner of that game plays Scotch Plains. Real Jersey II vs Kingsway Premier. Real Jersey vs SJEB.

Agreed, but who wants to travel potentially 90+ minutes each way for 1 game.
