So then why aren’t those players on PDA ECNL…Exactly
proof? Many kids don’t take Pda offers. If there are 6 exceptional 9’s in NJ, isn’t it better for them to play for 6 different teams than all for PDA blue? I’ve also watched so many soccer games where “EDP or ECRL” teams lose solely because they don’t have a player that can score. So many people on this site don’t understand how youth athletes develop

fwiw, it looks even worse for New England clubs, in terms of tons of travel for very mixed competition:

That's completely false. The new DIVISION of the ECNL-RL league will have compete at the same tournaments and playoffs ad the New England, North Atlantic, Florida, ect.

The travel might not be a s bad as you think. If the split the division into 2 10 team brackets the travel for the NJ teams won't be bad at all. There are 6 NJ teams. Throw in the team from PA and probably the 3 upstate NY teams. Maybe the Alleycats and the Manhattan Soccer club switch. And if you know anything about the ECNL play model you know that they will usually play 2 games in a weekend.

[/QUOTE]The league would be even better without most of the teams north of NYC, CT and RI. And the random PA and Sparta team.
But that was the point. It’s not crazy for NJ, except for the really weak teams. It’s the MA teams and some of the other weak teams that make no sense.
