Not every person needs or wants a full ride for sports d1. Everyone needs to dig deep into their minds, and find a life other then this useless nonsense. It's truly amazing grown men picking on young kids sports. Don't like it pack your **** and go to Europe if your kids is ready to compete. That’s what the average EDP teams have done that got accepted - NJ crush probably best out of that list but NLSA,FC Copa, Roxbury, PSA Monmouth - ridiculous. Only half decent EDP club left without a status is FA and I’d be very surprised they would join this below average league.

Next teams to get a bite of the apple would be Torpedos, Valencia, Berna and I’m sure they would bite their hand off at this chance like everyone else has.

You confuse me, poster said the new structure would keep these clubs out of ECNL because of the player accomplishments part of the ECNL application as better players move on and you call them a bozo but said how bottom end ECNL teams don't produce much better. Those clubs have had players go on to good D1 programs and have been able to garner some awards during their college career. The OP basically said the new RL clubs here won't ever keep those players so they won't be able to show anything.

Not exactly a who's who in college soccer. What ECNL is doing here isn't the same as across the country. Every other RL league has RL only teams in it except North Atlantic and New England. None of the other RL leagues cross multiple current conferences and have RL only clubs in it. This is lipstick on a pig looking to entrap anyone dumb enough to sign up. No smart player is going to flock to one of these clubs because of RL and even if they did they won't stay more than a year.

You’d then have to look at town teams like Freehold and Wall - they going to start just adding town teams to ECRL or you have to be a ‘club’. Those two town teams are better than at least 50% of that group

Adding the current ECNL clubs additional RL was probably a condition by those clubs to get the division added, politics... i'd be surprised if those "C" teams get out of the bottom 3rd in the division but time will tell-

this is where you are incorrect, most of these clubs have a very good track records vs ECRL teams

Have you ever looked outside of the North Atlantic and New England conferences? The RL conferences have both ECNL B teams and RL only clubs, so why change that in this area? The answer is simple, the new RL league does not have a direct line to ECNL and will instead be the beginnings of a 3rd tier league. They filled it full of clubs that are satellite clubs of current ECNL and average local clubs that have been on the outside looking in and chopping at the bit to join ECNL or GA but have been denied.

Actually the RL is comprised of clubs that only have ECRL status, yes clubs do have ECNL and ECRL. Those clubs are not eligible to be promoted.

Any player helping their club get promoted to ECNL will NOT benefit playing in ECNL since it takes many years for a club to get the offer. They are only helping the owners

Many girls we know quit ECRL teams by high school and just played high school in fall and a local team for fun in the off-season. ECRL is not worth the time, travel or money for a high school girl. Better off focusing on academics at that point and attempting to earn merit money toward college.
