A parent was yelling motivation to his daughter who was playing on the pitch. What the parent didn’t know was the college coach scouting his daughter was also standing on the parents sideline and heard/watched everything being said. That player was “ghosted” by the coach after that day. Lesson to be learned by this story. Parents who know nothing about soccer and have never played soccer shouldn’t “motivate” their kids while they are playing. That’s what a coach does. That kid lost a commitment opportunity from a very good Patriot League school because the parent couldn’t shut up with their motivation.

Adults wearing club gear (costume)is almost as creepy as adults who go to Disney without kids. Very very creepy.

I've never really thought one way or another about youth team clothing. Now adults who wear jerseys are creepy. I get if kids look up to some pro athlete and want to be them, but you'll never see me with another man's name across my back. I know people do it everywhere, but it has never made any sense. Why not just wear a Giants shirt or whatever team you cheer for? Why would you specifically want to wear something for Saquan or one other guy unless you have a crush on him?

Wear whatever you want, just don't say "we" when talking about your kid's team or any other team you don't play on. You are not on the team.
