So therefore the other countries are looking for a completely different player than we are in the US.
They are looking for a player that comfortable in multiple positions, which requires higher level of understanding of the game, and more intelligent, technical players. The US chooses the big, fast, strong player that is good at their one position. Until that changes US soccer will fall behind. Not sure how we fell off course when in the past we did have such players - like Mia Hamm.
