Back to STA as all these posts seem to end up speaking about that other club. It really will be interesting to see what they do going forward on the girls side. Their 09s are probably the last OK team. Below is looking bad and they will need a major shake up

Not sure that’s saying much. EMSC is literally the worst in the ECNL no idea how they are still there. The WC team that age isn’t good for some reason bc the talent went to MF and PDA Blue. Plus I heard they have like 5 trapped 2008 players. [/QUOTE
why would a player living in the area around WC drive all the way south to play for MF shore ?

Even their best GA players are leaving to go to ECNL so I don’t think they will pick up any players - they’ll have to develop what they have and right now that is low level teams

Yup and they’re the next set of teams entering GA. That’s why we need to get promotion/relegation. That way money and status doesn’t matter, the best teams will play against the best teams.

STA doesnt play to win until 11v11. They play to develop players.
Their goalies will not punt, the girls will move around, and winning comes second to developing the girls skills.
Sometimes its hard to deal with, but it does improve the players. However it does hurt recruiting, most of the teams have been together with no stud player transferring to improve the team.
The 2010s may be the original girls, the 09s added a player and a goalie last year who are very good, but the core has remained the same.
One stud offensive player can often be the difference and not having the results will often keep that player away.
Lastly, the parents for the most part seem very friendly.
I dont know how people can watch games with parents that are terrible examples for their children and suck the enjoyment out of the game.

Lol. That top flight of EDP at 2012 is a joke - most of the teams not good enough to be in there. If you put the top 5 teams from each league (red and blue) in there to make it really the top ten in the state then STA would not be competing in any way at all. I think the other divisions has a lot stronger teams in it.
The 2011 team is weak and if you mean lose all the time to the top teams over the last year then yeah they have definitely done that!

Top 5 team in blue:
Real NJ
SJEB pre-GA
CSA Monmouth
Freehold
Valencia
top 5 in red:
FA black
WCFC
FA silver
Torpedoes
STA
Can only assume you’re feeling a little insecure about all those GA and township teams to come on here and bash a bunch of 10 year olds. Don’t worry, they are developing those players nicely & your badge will pull a good number of them within the next 1-2 years.

STA lost to Valencia in state cup so if you compare their top 5 to the other top 5, yes STA would end up bottom of this group of 10. A very average team and a pretty average age group in all honesty. All the best 2012s are playing up still.
