My d's team has played them several times. Post above is accurate. They play quality soccer (i.e. move the ball around well, not kick and run) - may not yield best results at young ages

Team is not good at all.

Coach is a nice person but all their younger GA teams are struggling. Should never have been given the status. 2010s/2011s and next years 2012s are bad teams.

At some point the GA needs to reasses based on merit not how much money their owner has

Sinking ship. Their 2013s don’t even play top bracket.
Its ok though because KS works with the national team and won GA coach of the year even though her teams finished near the bottom of every league so they will stay GA when other local clubs probably deserve it more. She will say no when they apply like she already has

played them recently. One of the parents said something about 1 or 2 of their top players are out for the season with injuries. U13 is when they will pick up some more/better players (as will all of the other top teams), so it is hard to judge them right now

also her 2009s just beat World Class and East Meadow ECNL so there’s that

But when those younger teams coming through have to represent STA in the GA league and they can’t even compete against local town teams how’s that going to look?

Unless they drastically change STA are going to sit bottom of every GA league going forward driving silly miles to not be able to compete.

They won’t pick up any players. Players aren’t joining STA - they’re going PDA or Matchfit. They had a good core of players that stayed with them and bought in to the GA brand to begin with during covid as I’m sure most teams just stayed where they were that year. Even their best GA players are leaving to go to ECNL so I don’t think they will pick up any players - they’ll have to develop what they have and right now that is low level teams

No one goes to Matchfit and if they do, it's because they are naive or have not read the 2000+ posts here.
