Don’t blame the club… they are making an effort. Blame US Soccer and the pay to play system it created. That is why you see nothing but luxury cars in the parking lot of every club and every tournament.

There’s enough money in the men’s game now to where the boys academy is free. let’s hope the girls game follow suit.

My daughter is older and has been with the club from the start. When there are more qualified women and minorities coaching at PDA, then I will know that they made a commitment in this area.
Until then, its business as usual.

"Woke" was first used by liberals to describe themselves. At some point, it became something the mainstream adopted to refer to extreme progressives. So no, it's not just a word used by racists.

Similarly, why do you assume that the population of coaches who apply to PDA for a job are ethnically/gender proportional to the general population? Maybe a disproportionate number of white male coaches apply, so the proportion of those hired would naturally be higher than the general population?

come on you have to do better than that. It’s not disproportionate as you put it. It’s non existent. A simple commitment is all that is needed. Do you doubt that. It’s the same old argument made in the board room of corporations and in the ownership of sports teams. Or corporate CEOs. It’s an excuse to keep the status quo. As my female friend said to me, We represent 51 percent of the population and have had significant coaching education yet we have a hard time breaking into the coaching ranks. You simply have to be better. It always amazes me that people think that 35 percent of the population (white males)controlling 95 percent of the coaching jobs is a perfect normal thing. Especially with the explosion of youth soccer on the girls side. You simply have to better. And stop making excuses.
