GA seems like a good league. Maybe ont as strong as ECNL nationally but they have some good teams, provide a good atmosphere and competition set up, have decent events and will probably deliver decent results for many kids. My kid is in ECNL and I am not sold on the league and there's huge room for improvement. They let too much be decided by individual clubs and dont do any coordination for simple things like video taping games. Why are teams basically forced to record both home and away? Shouldn't the ECNL have a video service partner and require that the home club for all league weekends records the games and makes the video available to the visiting club? How about live streams for national events? Is this all really that difficult to do?

Makes sense to me. Everyone already records the games I don't see why that would be an extra expense.

In the same way you had fun in Seattle? Grass is grass. But yeah, I’ll admit Tuckahoe isn’t quite Oceanside, CA but at least we’ll save thousands. Another trip out west for ECNL this year…$$$.

At least the GAL league games and showcases are fairly local which can save you a lot of bucks and give you same if not better exposure than ECRL or USYS.

If you play GA or ECNL and want to play college soccer, your odds are the same from a league stand point. After that it depends mostly on the your kid’s drive, then coaching, then the team.

Leagues yes, more or less. Cub v club there can be big differences. Find the best coaching and fit for your player, a team where they will play a lot, and worry less about the patch
