CSA and Crush are parting ways!

When would Crush likely be able to achieve the GA status again ? How long does it take ?

Realistically its a 2yr process. We are with Crush currently and the coaches are telling everyone it will be next year but other club directors have told me that its a longer process than that. Wishful thinking and if it were that easy they would have done it years ago when they were independent prior to the CSA merger. Honestly, I just dont see it happening.

Crush will say whatever it needs to get girls esp above U11/12 and they are all about the money. We are at CSA and Lee was girls director and now going back to Crush. His coaches coach most current GA and they cannot win. What does that say? Crush will never get GA or ECNL and they do not have any teams above U11/12/13. What good player will go there. We won't. They are not honest and care about the money. The younger crush teams are not better than Torpedoes/Europa Liona and similar clubs and probably worse. They are far inferior to the feeders to ECNL and GA. In the beginning, Crush got girls from the area where Torpedoes is That will not happen now so the pool is smaller. Crush has a mountain to climb and the landscape is much more crowded now then when they merged 4-5 years ago and a LOT more crowded when they started in 2011. Personally, I don't think they develop girls, are not good coaches, cannot evalaute talent, and will never attract or keep high end girls.

It’s a shame. They continue to bring in other girls overlooking players in their club. Owners don’t even know the girls on their B teams . They don’t care to either. They need to switch up some of their management, one in particular.

Wow, will Crush really have no teams above those age groups. If that is true, will be hard to come back from.

I don’t agree with some of the posts above. I do think NJC’s younger teams are all better than any local club including the likes of STA as a whole. They have some good coaches with the younger teams who they may want to push into the older ones as well to see how they do. Europa should never even be mentioned on this site as they aren’t more than a northern counties level club. The coaches and owner should never even be allowed near young girls with how they speak to them. I wouldn’t be surprised if the one guy who wears makeup is the one bashing other clubs on here. Torpedoes have some strong younger teams but struggle after U11/12.

Regarding Crush and GA, I am not sure why people are making up years on how long the “process” is. Saying it is a 2 year process just shows the lack of knowledge in general. It can happen at any year. Lee and Simon bite off more than they can chew. The club will never succeed if they keep running the club the way that they have. They also seem to think that they are better coaches than they are. Simon’s head cannot get any bigger than it already is. I know that there are many strong players at his club leaving because of him.

I agree with how the club is managed,
, poorly managed. Lack of info has always been the way. I like Simon , always have but they need to hire a new DOC.

Agree. It’s amazing how the directors can’t be on the same page , ever, and tell parents other things. Lots of girls jumping ship and going to make their top teams even weaker. Get on the same page and keep it professional.

I have also seen some of the coaches treat some of the girls pretty poor because they are undecided about returning to the team. They've resorted to some super petty behavior unfortunately. Oh well, onward and upward!

Always the promises they can’t keep. Top teams are going to be so weak with all the players leaving. The B teams are going to be stronger.

Simon told us that Lee was away for weeks at a time during tryouts which was why he was answering our questions. The CSA teams and organization of the older teams are dragging down the club. Simon tried to get his younger teams to buy into his madness. Simon alone has lost most of the younger team stronger players because of his ego by putting himself as the head coach of the U10-U12 teams. You can’t have two people coach all of the top teams and then have the rest of the staff coach the 2nd teams and expect it to be successful. Either get some of your 2nd team coaches involved with the top teams or let them go and hire new coaches. However put the kids first and not your egos
