Looks like they have a perfect profile for GA “Champions League”!

Correct me if i am wrong. But isn’t ECNL a national league? Why would ECNL want more teams in a designated area to dilute the talent? It may make for more competitive games locally but it would make the teams weaker nationally. They probably should actually reduce the ECNL teams bc it’s getting quite watered down already.

Man, ECNL parents are very sensitive about protecting their investment. No need to be so petty. Just relax, competition is good and helps eliminate the current monopoly going on in US Soccer. It's mostly the families whose kids are hanging on to those last fww spots on an ECNL roster trying to disparage other leagues. Stop worrying about false dreams of scholarship dollars and just focus on your own kid's development.

Disagree, they would be a good fit and need to move on from the GA experiment. Shame PDA continues to block entry.

It's both local and national. Local division winners play in national playoffs. By bringing in a few more competitive clubs, it increases the brand in each local market. This is really what most people care about. From there, the best team still go to nationals. Competition is better for each division and provides more options for parents

The person you quoted is right though, ECNL doesn't need more clubs. I would think it makes more sense for local ECNL clubs to just be better. Be better coaches, be better developers, and be better clubs and then the best talent will go there not only for the badge/name/exposure/whatever.

It’s definitely not local. It’s regional. Like across 3-4 states. Then it goes national. No need for everyone to want a badge. If you are that dead set on having your kids ecnl. Have them tryout for one of the 4 teams with an ecnl badge. Otherwise there are other great local organizations that are viable options.

In NJ, there are 2 teams with the badge. I wouldn't have my daughter play for either one of them.

                      Edit: 2 clubs

No there are 4 separate teams with a badge. PDA white, PDA blue, PDA south and Matchfit. While PDA north consists of white and blue. PDA south is an entity of itself.

PDA South might be separate but it's still PDA. Plus, they aren't very good.

This is BS. No club should have 75% of the ECNL teams in their state.
