D1. Just don’t see any local EDP clubs with any info on their college commitments.

Honestly, I haven’t crossed but a few kids I recruit who played ODP. You just don’t see many ECNL/GA girls playing ODP in their recruitable years.

They could put it on a billboard but in the big picture it wouldn't matter. Stick to what they do best in providing a larger group of kids an opportunity to play a game that by the time they are 23 will be a memory for all the kids but a handful of professional talent still playing.

Ok. I take that as there aren’t really any D1 commits from these top EDP teams.

I don't see many GA girls either but then again the GA girls came from DA which refused to participate in it as they set up their own as does ECNL. Since GA has been around all of 1.5 seasons and the younger ages are full of players I would wait a few years to determine if they decide to do it or not. I can say that at Ds age they have a few ECNL and GA players and a lot more that tried out but didn't make it. Being on an ECNL or GA team doesn't make a player elite or even the best in the area.

This is spot on. For some reason people truly believe that if you play at PDA wear the ECNL badge you are better. Yes top 11 of blue are solid but that’s about it. White and south consistently bottom and MF is well a mess

You hit the nail on the head. Fun and relaxed atmosphere are key. Playing other sports also key. Our GA club emphasizes that and it’s very refreshing in todays cut throat environment.

I think this is referred to as “rec league”. And nothing wrong with that. Just call it what it is.

That’s the absolute key, keep it fun and light. That’s where ECNL is too much focus on college placement and win at all costs.

So is it for “keeping it fun and light” and not “cut-throat” like ECNL? Or is it a recruiting platform that coaches stream to watch? Make up your mind?

Zero coaches we’ve talked to think much of it. Not any longer. They are picking and choosing where to go and these events are redundant.

We have one girl on our team who plays. On some National Whatchamacallit. She’s not very good comparatively. But maybe she’s keeping it fun and light
