They should get a grasp on how to win with the bench players. Showcase and losing sound bad together.
The winning teams are celebrating and posting their wins and tagging the colleges as was ECNL. But for PDA losing — it didn’t count, didn’t matter. if it really doesn’t matter it’s even more infuriating. If colleges are seriously looking at bench players that lose at showcase perhaps we really all should have our kids sit the bench at PDA?

They do it on all their teams and college recruits. If they were as good as they once were, there would be massive numbers called up to the NT year after year and that is just not happening. They would also being winning championships year after year, not happening. Sweeping showcases - not happening. Winning at their own PDA tournaments - not happening. They do one thing well - they win most of their league games - and those are the scores reported. However, I will say one thing -- the 2007 blue team is pretty good. But they also ALL train consistently outside of PDA (sorry Mike, but they do) so I would give credit to the trainers not PDA on that age.

The raised eyebrows come when a coach demands that all training go through him/her and then they turn around and charge families for the extra sessions.

Agreed. There are zero players we know that can say are trained by PDA coaches exclusively. There is a lot of PDA training (camps, winter sessions, top corner, etc.) and it's good. However, all of the families we know take their sons and daughters to outside coaches too. As it should be. You want your players to be exposed to different voices, different coaching, different styles. Often times, hearing the same message from a different person makes the world of a difference. Nothing wrong with outside training. It should be encouraged.

They have to because PDA simply doesn’t offer enough to keep up.
