Ask anyone who plays college sports if the schools with milder weather have an advantage?
Baseball practice in February March upstate NY is different then South Carolina. Brrrr

its usually the better players with lots of options who can afford to make things like weather and athletic facilities important factors. the decline on some of these programs comes down to the fact that the current Youth model is not actually developing enough quality to support that many teams - see the rise in international recruiting, and the economics at the professional level do not support any alternatives. The internet/technology has shrunk the world and now more players feel more comfortable being further from home.

No one disagrees Syracuse winters suck but that isn't why top players don't want to go there. Top players want top programs and getting top academics when possible. Bottom programs can't attract them. Boston winters aren't as bad but BC athletics are generally lacking and some think it shouldn't be in the ACC at all. Its emotionally draining to play on a losing team

My kids will played for PDA for years we only say MO a handful of times. Ran into him in our hometown grocery store more often then the soccer field.

Kids must have been on White team or RL. MO only rubs elbows with the best/blue teams.

So wrong. Look how many kids he has pulled out of that PDA South program over the years. The one everyone feels doesn’t deserve an ECNL status. Mike is smarter than you think. There is talent hidden all over the place and you don’t see it because you are to focused on the the Blue teams. Guess what? Mike gets the last laugh as he preps for tomorrow’s game.

Not all BC and Syracuse teams are losers. Both are great lacrosse schools and field hockey. Football programs are good as are basketball. So if the program is good, the kids will follow.

Visits? Hahaha..he was sitting with the coaches (and coaching it appeared) when i attended the fc virginia; penn fusion and world class games. Maybe he left in between games for a hoagie or two.
