I just found out that my best player on my son's team is "training" with Matchfit Shore. I have shown tremendous loyalty to the person who has invited this player to train. In fact the club he is currently with has developed the player. My question is what do I do here? Do I confront the person, do I have him fired from my club, or do I wait until spring when the parents say the player is leaving? Asking for advice here.

I think you confront him and ask him ***. The answer is the guy is most likely leaving and taking as many players with him as possible. The one thing RT is good at is recruiting. He works all levels - players, parents, and coaches. If this trusted individual is actively sending players to train there then he is getting recruited or worked by RT. I'm sure this person will just say it's extra training and it's no big deal, but we've all heard the same song and dance before.

There is nothing you can do. MFS does not follow any rules or ethics. Zero professionalism. They will offer you free “training” and promise just about anything to get you to stay. All the coaches are the same, no loyalty, no standards, no professionalism and they buy into the con that is MFS.

On the RT front, unfortunately this specific person and branch are looking at recruiting younger and younger kids because it's a new set of parents that don't know him.
