another not good season for RU out in 1st round of Big10 and that's it again, looks like they need more "player development" at the youth academy to prepare players for the next level, doesn't seem to be working much recently...

RU needs to recruit better. Of the entire roster (30) all from NJ except for 7. 6 of the 7 from NY or PA and 1 from FL. Next closet Big 10 school PSU has 23 not from PA. Cali, Mass, Germany, Ireland, Spain, VA, Minn, etc. 6 from PA.

Has anyone considered that very few girls from other states are set up for success. Looks like over the past decade they either sit or transfer out. The few that stay are never highly profiled. It’s seems RU has exactly what they want NJ based win or lose.

So you're suggesting that RU sets up out of state girls to fail on purpose? Why would they recruit any if they wouldn't want to see them succeed. Sorry just don't see how this makes any sense at all

It does not have to make sense, facts are facts if you look at the stats of out of state players at Rutgers, most do not last long. Most girls in the tri state area are steered away by their club coaches. They are told unless you have a PDA connection or are a NJ resident you may not see much playing time or receive financial assistance. Somethings are just what they are lesser opportunities. That is not Rutgers setting them up to purposely fail, just not providing as much opportunity. Of course you will give opportunity to products you have seen for years in your own state. “Go with what you know” it’s how the system works. Out of state players are less inclined to commit if they see most non Jersey players as “support” or back up players. And there will always be exceptions to the trend, but a handful compared to other institutions
