Eric,
Much has been said that Meg Ryan was the main reason for the recruitment success at Rutgers in years past. I'm wondering if Meg not being there will leave a bigger hole than expected for Rutgers.

I am not saying all that to take anything away from Hofstra or Rutgers. Was it a good win for Hofstra....yes. Was it a bad loss for Rutgers...no not really but yes its a loss. Rutgers will be okay and they will learn from this game as they go further into their season. For many of you naysayers and I don't mean that in a negative manner, but Rutgers knew this wasn't an easy win or a gimme game. Rutgers knew exactly what they were getting in to with scheduling this game. Hofstra has a fine roster of many international player and are seasoned well. This was a good tough game to help prepare them for conference play as many schools do in their nonconference scheduling. Again Rutgers will be fine and its not about bouncing back but more or less learn and move on and prepare for this weeks schedule.

If Hofstra at home is not a game you expect to win, cool, but then the 99% **** has to stop. Hofstra are not going on the road to a top-10 team and expecting to tie, let alone win. Top 30 maybe.

Who cares if Rutgers isn’t a top 25 team? Who cares is they are awful? It wouldn’t surprise me at all. Rutgers in general has a very hard time as far as keeping the top athletes in state. Same would apply for women’s soccer.

More anonymous TS BS for sure. Listen to yourself. RU doesn’t need any justification from your like. They are in the arena competing against the best teams in the country. That in itself is better than 99% of the teams in the country. That’s special and you will never understand because of your jealousy and hatred. They will compete in one of the most competitive conferences in the country against some of the top competition in the country to win the conference, conference and NCAA tournament. That is better than 99% of the D1 teams getting ready to start the season who will not have a chance to win a conference or make the NCAA. What you think RU needs to do to succeed is rudimentary because you just don’t understand womens college soccer.
That’s correct, they were close just 2 years ago. The point being every year they are competitive in a very competitive league against some of the best competition in the country. As a player that is all you can ask knowing that you will play in the conference tournament and make the NCAA. That’s more than the vast majority of college players. Haters are just going to hate and that’s their problem.
Lets say there are 350 D1 programs. I think its less, but close enough. 64 make the tournament. 64/350 = 18% so lets stop this 99% nonsense.
