I am always going to be a Rutgers fan no matter what. I wish Coach Meg the best in her new journey as Head Coach. She certainly has earned that and will do very well at Maryland. As far as Rutgers I know they are still in a great place and have a great Coaching staff that anyone would love to play for. As far as the recruiting aspect of things goes I feel they have the right coaches there at RU that can still recruit with the best of them and are super good people. Again I am not worried about RU as far as where they are going. I know they will continue to do what they do as a program and that is to get better each time out. I have watch many of that team for years at PDA and I was a supporter of those kids then and I surely heck aint jumping ship on those kids now. I am going to ride with them 100%.........except if my kids is only the field against them lol lol but that has to be understood blood is much thicker than water lol.

Looks like you are itching for a fight. I think Eric just ignored you and saw what you were trying to do. Pretty easy to see

I am not saying all that to take anything away from Hofstra or Rutgers. Was it a good win for Hofstra....yes. Was it a bad loss for Rutgers...no not really but yes its a loss. Rutgers will be okay and they will learn from this game as they go further into their season. For many of you naysayers and I don't mean that in a negative manner, but Rutgers knew this wasn't an easy win or a gimme game. Rutgers knew exactly what they were getting in to with scheduling this game. Hofstra has a fine roster of many international player and are seasoned well. This was a good tough game to help prepare them for conference play as many schools do in their nonconference scheduling. Again Rutgers will be fine and its not about bouncing back but more or less learn and move on and prepare for this weeks schedule.

Are you saying Hofstra are on the same soccer level as RU?

If Hofstra at home is not a game you expect to win, cool, but then the 99% **** has to stop. Hofstra are not going on the road to a top-10 team and expecting to tie, let alone win. Top 30 maybe.

Who cares if Rutgers isn’t a top 25 team? Who cares is they are awful? It wouldn’t surprise me at all. Rutgers in general has a very hard time as far as keeping the top athletes in state. Same would apply for women’s soccer.

No, not at all, but that's why I say it was a very tough game. In the beginning of the season teams aren't connecting as smoothly as the season goes on and in a rhythm lets say. Not taking anything away from Hofstra at all because I said before they are a very good team as well.

Really? From reading this topic, I thought RU kept all of PDA best players and that was why they were in the top 1% of teams nationally.

Really? You definitely are wrong! Their top players usually do not go to Rutgers. Go do the research yourself

More anonymous TS BS for sure. Listen to yourself. RU doesn’t need any justification from your like. They are in the arena competing against the best teams in the country. That in itself is better than 99% of the teams in the country. That’s special and you will never understand because of your jealousy and hatred. They will compete in one of the most competitive conferences in the country against some of the top competition in the country to win the conference, conference and NCAA tournament. That is better than 99% of the D1 teams getting ready to start the season who will not have a chance to win a conference or make the NCAA. What you think RU needs to do to succeed is rudimentary because you just don’t understand womens college soccer.

That’s correct, they were close just 2 years ago. The point being every year they are competitive in a very competitive league against some of the best competition in the country. As a player that is all you can ask knowing that you will play in the conference tournament and make the NCAA. That’s more than the vast majority of college players. Haters are just going to hate and that’s their problem.

Lets say there are 350 D1 programs. I think its less, but close enough. 64 make the tournament. 64/350 = 18% so lets stop this 99% nonsense.

Lol with that math none of the D1 programs could claim to be in the top 1%

A few can. UNC, FSU, Stanford, UCLA, USC and a few others perhaps. RU certainly cannot. Tell that to the 99% person. They like to exaggerate.

Why? I would choose UNC, Clemson, Princeton, Michigan, Penn st,, Duke. Etc Etc over Rutgers any day.
