Well aware, having been three times now, but thanks anyways. My point of mentioning the location is that it is as far away within the region as you can get from New England. Just my opinion, but would think something a little more centrally located would better serve the entire region.

Highly unlikely with the incestuous relationship DW has with both NWC and NHSA. Certainly doesn't serve the best interests of NWC.

Gotcha, I just didn't read you on here complaning last year that it was 'far away within the region' for the virginia and maryland kids to drive.

        Just sayin'

I am not a fan of NWC, but how doesn't it serve the best interest of NWC to drop out.

Different poster here, Have you ever been to West Virginia? I went to regionals there a few years back, there is no easy way to get there. We were screwed by the hotels when we got there, and NH soccer did nothing to help. Since then it has been in PA and RI, so yes I would think we could vary the venues a bit and not have to go back to WV again. Even the drive to Virginia and Maryland is way easier than West Virginia. Just Saying.

Well stated, they as a club have the "potential" given their locale to be much more than they are and his role within the club and with the state has done nothing to further the club.

NHSA doesn't care as all their board members Hotel reservations are top notch and paid for, their lack of action on putting on anything resembling a legit state cup competition shows they feel the club (NWC) and families can deal with it.

NWC has sat idle and watched the local soccer landscape pass them by, which is a shame. I am a NWC parent. Good enough and big enough to have jumped on the NEP train way back when, especially when watching clubs like Lightning get in and all the other special cases (Derry Eagles, Seacoast Manchester, Seacoast Express, etc....). Could it be the credentials of our DOC are not up to snuff? That and the field issues are certainly fixable.

Meanwhile, our kids have no one to play in state cup. Not what I expect from a "major" club.

No problem. And while I can sympathize with the folks from the southern states in the region the last two years, the equivalent would have been asking them to drive to the northeast corner of Maine instead of Rhode Island. That is the equivalent of what we are being asked to do this year.

That is another question. What I was trying to convey is that DW's relationship with both NWC and NHSA isn't serving the best interests of NWC IMO.

All valid points and based on the Bios of the coaches and DOCs they are up to snuff license wise. Your right fields are fixable. It seems simple to me the guy thats in bed with the state association and USYS and had a voice in the Club, prevented the move or helped prevent it. So as a club, they chose USYS and Maple and its backfired and the families like yours lose out or leave.

Fixable over the decade of taking in cash for the tournaments held! And they are a large club, just clueless and not comptative!

Maybe NWC should have entered in Mass. They do play in Maple.

I'm sure NHSA and DW would've done everything they could to prevent that as that would've been a HUGE loss in incoming $$$$$ as they were the only club that had more than 1/2 teams sign up.

NWC better teams play in Mass. Maple League. This tournament is U12 to U17 here are the team numbers for this age group only.
NHSL 10 teams, Maple 16 teams.
NWC tried to take the easy road and play in NH instead of MA, but NH Soccer Ass. spent to much time on Twitter & Facebook telling everyone how great they are and did not premote this tournament.
