"Teams play in self-scheduled group matches with the top-seeded teams advancing to the final weekend"... Awesome, I can't wait for that cluster. Welcome to the self service world we live in.

How is this new news? It's been on the NEP website and bantered about on TS foir Months.
Self Scheduling cannot be any worse than the crap scheduling of last years state cup where teams had instances of 2 games a weekend during league play, making it 3 games in 2 days. Not to mention the need to go to Pembroke.

The pairings are already done as reported in another thread, I think it will work much better than last year!

Any information would be appreciated.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIn other words, once the cannon fodder is dispensed with, it's GPS-NH versus Seacoast. Mock NWC versus Hooksett all you want on the USYS side. Bolts, Lightning and Eagles are in the same class as Hooksett. Only thing US Club has to offer is that they are home to 2 out of the 3 viable clubs in NH.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou responded to my post and I agree with your sentiment. I haven't seen the USYS State Cup schedule yet (was supposed to be posted by 3/15 I believe), but am hearing my son's age group only has two teams, that will play a two game "home and away" series (a la Champions League??) and will have an additional match set up with some second rate out of state team, to I suppose, justify the entry fee. Not good, but I guess falls in the category of "it is what it is". IMO, any State Cup series in NH that does not at a minimum include GPS-NH, Seacoast and NWC is bogus and all the kids lose out by not renewing old rivalries each year.
