    High School Soccer Parents

We just survived 4 years of high school soccer with a daughter who is now playing college ball. We now have a son playing varsity as a freshman, and have 3 games in the books. At the last game, I was just amazed, though I shouldn't have been, at the opposing parents arguing about ever little call or non-call by the refs. It was absurd. Having seen 4 years of high school ball, I know some towns are nuttier than others. I am content to sit silently & let the refs ref, and let my kid play. Am I nuts, or are the ranting and raving parents nuts?

If you are referring to the L'derry parents, they are not yelling at the refs, they are nuts because noone can stand the coach.

They are arguing every call and non call from the refs because they hate the coach? You make no sense. Good try getting your own frustrations out about the coach at any possible time.

You are wrong... his baby boy likes him. The only way he makes a team is because his daddy is the coach...Funny that underclassmen aren't allowed on the team since his kid is now a junior

Someone's little Landon didn't make varsity and instead of telling him to work harder so he can make them team next year mommy and daddy are ragging on the coach. What a bunch of losers.

What everyone knows is you are an *****. People are stuck listening to u complain on the sidelines, when they just want to watch the game. There are 18 or so varsity roster spots. How do you explain your kid not getting one of the other 17?

That's the way it is these days, if your kid doesn't make the team don't tell them to work harder, just blame the coach and/or some of the kids who made the team over them.

According to the roster in the paper there are underclassmen on the roster.
Stay classy. Who picks on a 16 year old kid because they don't like his Dad?

Since Londonderry Varsity boys have only played two games I am assuming the OP was not talking about them and you decided to launch your own despicable agenda.

Let's get the list of those cut from LHS and find out who you really are you piece of ####.

OP here. Thank you to the person that responded first to my post for hijacking the thread.
Another thread gone right into the toilet. ***?

You're not nuts. I would agree that some towns are crazier than others but I find the craziest of parents are the ones who don't have kids playing at a higher level. Most of the time the parents doing the most yelling are the ones who couldn't explain an offsides call if their life depended on it. I, like you, choose to sit back and enjoy watching my child play the game for fun because honestly that's what high school soccer for the club kids is supposed to be...fun and pressure free.

Actually he plays...and last year 10th graders were allowed on the team because baby boy was a 10th grader. NOT picking on a 16 year old like a previous poster (mommy) stated. Stating that daddy takes care of his own. Wait til next year...baby boy will be CAPTAIN!!!

Obviously you are the type of person the OP was talking about. Ignorant, obnoxious and immature. The LHS roster shows there is a 10th grader., Besides, isn't that program very competitive? You should be more of a mature adult and leave the kid alone just because you don't like the dad. I coach soccer and if there is one thing I hate, its parents like you. Attacking a coach and players on the team out of spite is petty

You are an unwelcomed distraction that is fueled by your own sense of entitlement. And to top it off, you hijacked this thread.
Please, listen to everyone who is replying and go away.
