    New bolts coaches?

Anyone know anything about some guy named Zivan who use to train that sports zone team? Looks like he is now at the bolts and I was curious if anyone had opinions on him. Thanks in advance

My daughter used to train w/ him (he never actually coached her) when she did the winter training at the Sports Zone a couple of years ago. I thought he was a very good trainer and did a great job keeping all of the kids engaged with a variety of drills. He also pushed the kids hard which I liked.

Experienced in what way? Does he have a coaching background? So is SZ United dead?

400 matches with Yugo Nat'l Team?! IMPOSSIBLE! The Yugo Nat'l team probably hasn't played 400 matches in their existence! A single player MAY play a total of 100 times for their country. To play 400 times would mean a 100 year playing career!

it doesn't say what kind of matches. maybe not all international matches - but does that really mean he isn't experienced? and you may want to do a history lesson about Yugoslavia.

you can't fake those coaching licenses. doesn't that prove he is qualified enough to coach for THE BOLTS?? waste your energy doubting someone else's qualifications. this guy is the real deal. way better than anything else the bolts have to offer

It does seem like he has a great resume. So what does SZ do now

My friend's son trained with him. He is a very good trainer.

Yeah my kid said he was "hard" at tryouts. From what I saw it looked like a good amount of the sz united teams showed up for the bolts tryouts as well.

Thanks for the feedback on him everyone. I like that they added more resources to the bolts and really like that they will push harder with this new trainer/coach.

                      Thanks again everyone

Is he a trainer for them or is he going to be coaching a team. If coaching, what team?

He was working with the U10 and U11 boys at the time. Not 100% sure if he will just train or coach tbh

Zivan is the best trainer around, without question. Uefa A license. Experience, his training sessions are highly engineered and effective. I am not a Sz parent, but my son took private lessons from him...he is also very willing to share his immense knowledge base with coaches, another plus when working with him. Bolts have a good one there...Tim S

I think he is a good technical trainer but like a lot of these guys they don't do well with the tactical elements of the game. Also, he has a lot less patience with players that are not as skilled. Overall an improvement for them though.
