The "elite" teams will no longer play NEP or state cup. NPL league will replace NEP and the state cup will be run by us club soccer with seacaost, lightning and gps as the only teams. Teams will play a small regional with mass and a few other states then it is to nationals.

The league includes the U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-18 boys age groups, is comprised of six clubs:

    CFC
    MPS
    New England Aztec
    NEFC
    NHPSA (Classics)
    Western United

If GSYSL was still around then all those clubs would be eligible to play in that state cup tournament.

GSYSL was making the jump to US Club Soccer and would have had its own state cup and be qualified for thier regionals and national tournament.

Great, let's surrender to all these clubs who just want to control everything. Complete joke.

Not sure what you mean. What clubs are trying to control everything?

Those clubs are part of NPL and US Club Soccer and they have a "state cup" type of national championship tournament just like USYS. I think because it is being referenced as state cup some people are getting that confused as if it is open to every club.

seacoast/gps/lightning have decided to go in a different direction. Only time will tell if it is the right way to go.

Will only the "elite" teams of these clubs play in NPL, or will all their teams? Will any teams from GPS, Seacoast, and Lightning still play in NEP?

Only the elites will play in the NPL, the rest will play NEP. Lightning will stay in NEP as will seacoast due to its DAP program.
