    Gps-nh

Hi all, I am a GPS-NH parent interested in hearing the opinions of other parents on their experience with the club. I am not a troll nor a representative of the club, and am willing to identify myself in time, but for now I wish to remain anonymous and not identify the team(s) my child(ren) play for so as not to bias the discussion. My hope is for this to be a constructive conversation allowing parents of different teams to share their experiences, since there currently is no such format, particularly one that links parents of different teams within the club.
I'll start things off with a positive comment - IMO opinion those of us who live in the greater Manchester area are lucky to have a club with professional coaches that is reasonably priced and does not require travel to the seacoast area!

Right, and GPS is the only club with paid coaches in this area? The great GPS advertising campaign at its best.

Allow me to explain myself better. I have a number of concerns about the club, but didn't want to voice them right away in order not to set too negative a tone. So I started with a positive comment. I truly am glad to have a local option for club soccer with professional coaching. However, there are a lot of things I see happening within the club that are of concern to me.
Once again, I am hoping to see if parents have a united voice in any way regarding club policies and direction. Your thoughts please?

Hate to break it to you but GPS doesn't have the monopoly on annoyed customers. :) Ridiculous things being done at Seacoast as well.

Same with World Cup. But, hands down World Cup has the best coaching staff in the area...doesn't mean they have the best teams. And there seems to be some problems with internal fighting.

What is your thought on Maple? We have always stayed clear of that league but I do agree with WC having good (best?) coaching?

So what makes you think they have the best coaches? So at what point does the best coach win games?

Although the leaders of the clubs that are in each will say that there league is the best...they are essentially the same. Championship in NEP is very weak and so are the bottom levels of Maple. Even some Premiership are relatively weak now that they have more than one. Top team in both are solid. Both leagues are diluted now.

Maple is great for a strong town program like WC....

As a GPS parent I have a strong opinions about the club (from the boys side), almost all are positive. I feel no other club in the area provides the opportunities that GPS offers. Sure GPS is a large organization, but I have found that all kids, from the very talented to the beginner, are included in the process. Coaches are friendly, energetic and well versed in training and game tactics. Are all coaches great, probably not, but no club can claim to have all great coaches. I will never bash other programs, but am happy to chat about GPS-NH.

By the way, I am not a coach and my kid was not cut!

When they get better kids...by all accounts from GPS and Seacoast they have the best kids...so for World Cup to be competitive at all has a lot to do with the coaches. You cannot compare some of these GPS/Seacoast coaches that have limited experience to other local well rounded coaches...not even close IMO. World Cup does not have the history that the those clubs do and still have a hard time drawing.

Yes, I guess being in those championship divisions playing against 4th tier teams is spectacular. And now that premiership is often times 2 or 3 divisions deep I guess it makes sense for your comment. No diluted teams there.

Again you show a lack of knowledge...Preiership is not 3 tears deep and in most cases the champion division is more like a 3/4 level division. No biggie, but you really can't compare the league that WC plays in to NEP..can you?

                              1. So all of the WC coaches are full of experience and well rounded? Then how come they can't retain players...better coaches should equate to better teams at some point?

                              2. I guess there is never a chance of a younger coach at WC! How old is Ryan Gwinell...

                              4. How long has world cup been around, close to 20 years or so
