NHSA vs GSYSL

Just a thought, let's say, if NHSA screwed up this season, how likely are all the clubs going back to GSYSL next year?

If you look at it positively, it might be a good thing for NH soccer after all, a little competition? or I am just too naive.

Just a few things the clubs should know:
While GSYSL made a bad decision they have reversed that decision and publically apologized and appointed a new league chair and vice chair.
There has long been a long standing rift between GSYSL & NHSA over the lack of support the State Association has shown ALL the leagues over the past number of years.
So it should be no surprise that the most recent past president of NHSA , who plays an integral role with the current NHSA board was overheard saying “we finally got rid of GSYSL”
It will be no surprise to watch NHSA drag their feet as GSYSL attempts to get back their USYSA affiliation, so GSYSL can provide the NH Clubs with services that may not be league related, but to help support the kids who play soccer and promote the game. Oh wait, isn’t that what the State Association should be have been doing all along, supporting the soccer community, I guess not.
Make no mistake about this move by NHSA it has been in the works for 4 years and is all about $$$. It should be obvious by the way they rolled out the league within 48 hrs of the GSYSL announcement, they were going to do this anyway, unfortunately GSYSL made it easy for them.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to the NHSA committee that was set up 4 years ago to build soccer complex in NH?
As to the referee fees, you get what you pay for. But since the referee fees are paid by the clubs upfront, what happens when referees are not assigned games or don’t show for the game, will the league be refunding that money to the clubs?
GSYSL has served the clubs well over the past years providing support, events and even filling the gaps the State Association has neglected over the years, while NHSA pandered to Region 1 for “Self Recognition” not for the clubs of NH, but for themselves.

Keep the truth coming!!! If NHSA fees were lower than GSYSL did that include the ref fees or is that additional?

If the President of NHSA made that comment about finally getting rid of GSYSL then that is a MAJOR issue. That would prove the point that NHSA was never there to support GSYSL.

This needs to be vetted out. NHSA if this is true, any member of your board NEEDS to RESIGN.

If this is the NHSA leadership, NH soccer has big problems.

For the most part, most NH soccer people are good people. Hopefully this petty BS will come to an end. GSYSL is not an evil organization. GSYSL created a nice soccer tradition in NH.

You seem to know a lot of things you perceive is going on inside of GSYSL. I now believe you are a NHSA board member. So, first I am not with GSYSL. I want to make sure the facts are used and not someones own agenda.

Yes, laptops, three were purchased for GSYSL. Yes, Steve is paid to run the club. Are you telling me NO ONE on NHSA is paid? Hmmm. Think not. Your payroll is in the 90's. You pay for an office. These are things that both organizations do to keep things running. Name me one person who would administer an organization like GSYSL or NHSA for free?

No one would, takes too much time and money. Trips to Arizona? Huh? Not sure if you are talking about US Soccer events, but guarantee all trips are soccer related and voted on. Oh ya does NHSA pay for hotels and such for Region 1 meetings?

Don't make this out to be a GSYSL issue because NHSA has plenty of blame.

It will be a shame if GSYSL folds. NHSA should have been involved with the leagues and this would have never happened.

But check out pages 9/10 of NHSA 2011 and the explanation of "Part IX'.. 13K in stipends, NHSA owns a car (?); $6500 in meals.. $3k in 'bounced checks' (?)... sure your members are keeping tabs on what your governing board is doing??

Figures don't lie but lairs figure!!!!!

Stipends for coaches( ODP), They have fields to maintain, Coaches that travel and have expenses when they do.
So what fields did GSYSL own and maintain, what coaches did they compensate. What instructors did they have?

I have no dog in this game, my kids left NH soccer years ago and really don't care who is running the league as long as there is something for the kids....time for you to grow up too
