Interesting, which meetings did you go to and what suggestions? I gather that you did not do what say. In fact I absolutely believe your making this up.

GSYSL has always had an open door policy, clubs are invited to every meeting, and I will bet over the past three years not one club showed up on their own to make suggestions.

It is not a leagues responsibility to get involved with club business. NHSA does not get involved with either the leagues or clubs as well. What are you expecting from them?

GSYSl Offers more than you think. You sound like someone who never got involved.

NHSA in the three years of the agreement has does nothing for either league, has offered less than years before.

In fact the reason for this agreement is because NHSA was creating their own league in secret, and only invited a few clubs to join. Talk about not getting involved with clubs or excluding clubs. This whole debacle is because of how NHSA treated the leagues.

Thanks GSYSL for this....I know it is hard for you to understand what is going on right now, but your lack of attention to your member clubs will be evident when your league folds in a few weeks. Can Byron get these notes from Florida? O yah, a president that lives out of state and is flown in by the league for board meetings...nice. How about taking all your folks to soccer meetings in Arizona? How about gifting board members with laptops? What about Steve Lewis' 30k a year stipend for being a game scheduler or Bev Houle's 10k a year for being secretary.....anything else

You seem to know a lot of things you perceive is going on inside of GSYSL. I now believe you are a NHSA board member. So, first I am not with GSYSL. I want to make sure the facts are used and not someones own agenda.

Yes, laptops, three were purchased for GSYSL. Yes, Steve is paid to run the club. Are you telling me NO ONE on NHSA is paid? Hmmm. Think not. Your payroll is in the 90's. You pay for an office. These are things that both organizations do to keep things running. Name me one person who would administer an organization like GSYSL or NHSA for free?

No one would, takes too much time and money. Trips to Arizona? Huh? Not sure if you are talking about US Soccer events, but guarantee all trips are soccer related and voted on. Oh ya does NHSA pay for hotels and such for Region 1 meetings?

Don't make this out to be a GSYSL issue because NHSA has plenty of blame.

It will be a shame if GSYSL folds. NHSA should have been involved with the leagues and this would have never happened.

I agree they were probably soccer related and voted on by all, just like the laptops! Anyway....I am not on the Board, but as you should already know, many clubs have tried to bring these two groups together for years. A joint venture would have been a great idea, but my understanding was that Byron and Steve and the other folks at GSYSL did not want to share control. Whatever, it is all water under the bridge now.

I would like to move forward and improve the soccer landscape and not point fingers at who or what caused the issue. I do think we will see overwhelming support for NHSA tonight.

There will be a meeting tonight at SNHU (Penman Rm in Athletic Facility) from 7-9. It will be a community discussion about NH leagues and the future of NH soccer. Please park in the lot on the far end of the building

40+ clubs, representing well over 400 teams, will be registering with NHSL... a few clubs voted for GSYSL for the record but will be registering with NHSL because that is where the competition is going to be... A lot of clubs are hoping both leagues can somehow work together but NHSL got the vote of confidence from the members.

Can someone explain how this is supposedly going to be a league run by the clubs (or maybe not run by the clubs but with significant input from the clubs....). In other words, will their be reps from each club who work together to hash out the details? Or, one selected person from a particular club with monthly meetings? How is that going to work?

The clubs are working with NHSL or New Hampshire Soccer League to have representatives from each program on a board/committee. Details still being worked on.

I voted for NHSL or NHSA to run the league and am very happy with the grassroots meeting last night. Yes there are concerns, but they can be worked out!

I completely agree. I thought the meeting last night went well. There are obviously things that need to be worked on/out but considering NHSA (and the clubs) were blindsided just more than two weeks ago, I think they have a solid start to getting this league up and running.

Sorry but I was not at the meeting last night so I was hoping someone could answer this for me. Who will be running the league at NHSA? Are they bringing someone in with experience? I understand that the membership clubs will have a say but I am curious as to who will be running the day to day. This is a very important aspect that cannot be overlooked. If NHSA is hiring someone with considerable experience, then I say OK. If not, I have serious reservations. Was anything said about this at the meeting last night or any meetings prior to?

Uh oh... Granite State is screwed. Huge misjudgment of the consumer.
