    2. NHSA sent out invitation to only a select few clubs to join their private league.
    -not familiar with this one

    3. GSYSL when they found out felt betrayed ands looked to move away from NHSA.
-GSYSL and NHSA had talked in the past about merging, GSYSL was not interested.

    4. GSYSL looked to US Club Soccer and held a meeting with all their club invited.
    - not true, they did not hold a meeting of clubs back iin january when they started talking to US Club. Only after they moved did the clubs know.

    5. The clubs were completely confused and asked for a special committee to over relations between NHSA and GSYSL.
    -NHSA was interested in this

    6. The results of the meetings were fruitless. No compromised was met from any side.
    -fair enough
    7. An agreement was made between NHSA and GSYSL. One NHSA would not form a league and two GSYSL would stay with NHSA.
    -This had lapsed I think

    8. Three years go by and no communication from NHSA or GSYSL take place.
-Simply not true, NHSA reached out to GSYSL in janaury and GSYSL told them to pount sand

    9. NHSA new board has even less communication with GSYSL and continue to lessen their involvement with the league including limiting the Fall tournament and not offering Div 1 competition.

    10. GSYSL starts plans to internally control their league and rely less on NHSA.

    11. NHSA continues to do nothing with GSYSL.
-I see it the other way as NHSA had reached out many time since Janaury

    12. Seacoast starts to have number issues and looks to GSYSL to collaborate.
    -OK
    13. NHSA does nothing.
    -such as?
    14. Three year contract is coming due, neither organization reach out to each other to solve issues.
-You are incorrect, NHSA, through a mediator, reached out many times to deaf ears.

    15. GSYSL and Seacoast league merge, not without the decent of NHSA.
    -ok
    16. GSYSL looks to USCS for association.
    -ok

To me, NHSA is just as much to blame as GSYSL. Just because GSYSL made a move does not excuse NHSA from this total disaster. NHSA should have never let the leagues get to this position. Their responsibility in this issue was to over see soccer in NH not become soccer in NH.

To hide behind GSYSL as the bad guy and their are some super hero in this is pathetic and everyone on NHSA including the President is at fault along with GSYSL and their complete board.

What a mess NH is in soccer. I for see multiple teams if not clubs leaving NH for Maple or NEP.
-I do agree it was a mess, now it is clear what the clubs want and we can move forward. Don't you agree?

      2. Letters were sent out by NHSA to select clubs, the club I was with did not get one and we were wondering why. This was at the beginning of the issue, four years ago.
      3. NHSA was NOT interested in working with GSYSL. They wanted their own league and was working with Bedford Classics at the time.
      4. GSYSL did hold a meeting with the clubs. Many showed up including NHSA with Bedford. Meeting was a mess and resulted in this committee to work with both sides.
      5. NHSA was not interested in the meetings that is why nothing came out of it. Ego's from both sides screwed this up.
      7. Agreement just finished this past June 2013.
      8. No your wrong, three years during this agreement NO communication took place, NO ONE made any effort to make things better.
      11. GSYSL clearly starts to internalize their programs while NHSA is business usual. Neither side works together, just continue the split.
      13. NHSA is the administrative portion of soccer in NH, one would think they would get involved son that league would not fail. Instead they do nothing.
      14. I do not believe NHSA used a mediator at all. This is made up. Prove your statement. I stand with mine. NHSA did nothing. GSYSL did nothing.

As put earlier in an other comment, ego's are the issue from both camps. NHSA failed to administrate and GSYSL failed to work with NHSA.

        GSYSL cancells fall season

        NH Clubs,

        Fall Season Canceled:

GSYSL has created a situation within the NH soccer community that has led to the cancellation of our fall season. We clearly understand that we have misjudged our actions and have undermined your trust. This is a mistake which clearly places the responsibility on our shoulders.

We extend our apologies again to the clubs and wish you all a successful fall season

I assume that GSYSL will distribute left over funds to the member clubs?

If the league is completely dissolved that could happen, but right now there are NO member clubs to distribute the money to.

From what is posted, only five clubs were registered with GSYSL and should get the distributions. All other clubs that bailed to NHSL should get nothing!

This is truly a sad situation for soccer in NH. GSYSL took responsibility for their role, it is now time for the failed leadership at NHSA to take responsibility for their part. We should have been building on our NH soccer traditions, not targeting them for failure.

I look at it very differently. NHSA stepped up and took on the role when GSYSL screwed up.

Here's my take.... GSYSL went head to head with NHSA until they realized that were not going to "win" the battle. All those emails went out trying to point the finger at NHSA, etc. etc... (rightly or wrongly, I'm not even commenting there as I don't know). When they realized the season was done for them... Then, you get the "We take full responsibility" email from them. Something tells me if there is any negotiations taking place between the organizations (no idea if there is...), that was one of the stipulations in place - ie, GSYSL had to take full responsibility for the mess before they could move forward in any way, shape or form with soccer in NH. That's my thought... But I have no idea.

The state clubs voted with their registrations..471 teams are now in the new league. GSYSL will now have to close their doors!

                            Voted?

No one on the outside knows all the politics going on behind the scenes. The clubs waited to see where the competition was going. NHSA is the soccer administrative agency for NH. The two largest soccer entities in NH fighting. Over what? What a waste. It seems to me that it would have been less expensive to work together and save a well established league.

Not bitter at all, just stating a fact. Only five clubs registered with GSYSL. All the others dis not.

True. Reality is there were probably 2-3 clubs who decided to go one way and then the rest followed. Let's be realistic here.
