Just took a look - wow, see what you mean.

Not only is Rob Grabill coach of the year but he has 6 players selected to 1st & 2nd All State teams. That’s got to be a record for any team in any division.

Interesting how a coach of the year can also be suspended for being a completely arrogant jackazz

Each coach can nominate 6 players. Extraordinary to have them all named to either the All State 1st or 2nd team. As far as the selections for the teams being a mistake, all the coaches in each division vote on the players. So unless the nominating coach doesn't know their own players, I imagine the final selections are about right.

I know from experience that coaches don’t always nominate the most deserving and others will vote on what they know. There were two players last year, one in DI and one from DII, who got nothing. One wasn’t even nominated. Both of these are now DI soccer players in college. One was a starter as a freshman. My D played with both. Can’t possibly convince me they didn’t deserve it. In my mind you could say they were both top 10, even top 5 players in the state. If a coach doesn’t know a player they go with flash not always substance.

I don’t quibble with it much and didn’t affect mine but these two were definitely affected.

Only a game and he absolutely trashed an opposing team on Instagram.

The guy has his own club where Hanover kids train for 2+ months together prior to HS season. Almost $400 to do.

Give Bedford, south coaches that opportunity and they'd be way better than Hanover. Oh wait............

Across the four divisions (boys & girls), there are four other teams with six players on All-State teams: Bow Boys, Lebanon Boys, Gilford Boys & Newmarket Girls. So it's unusual but not unprecedented.

Sounds like they are spreading it around which good for those Kingswood kids but disservice to others.

I didn't think spreading it around was supposed to be part of the criteria when designing a paper team that represents the best players at their position in the state. So I'll tend to agree with the latter part of your statement that it is a disservice to those who were left off Because everyone gets a medal.
