I haven’t seen the play nor care to. It’s irrelevant. Both plays described are done through biased views and take into account a judgement call. Your view of the call is no more “better” than the refs. To then say refs are untrained just shows you have no basis of reality in your thinking.

For someone saying “move on” it’s a week past the game and here you are…

You’re really passionate about a game you didn’t see. Weird.

I think you are missing their point. It’s not about that game, it’s about parents of players not respecting the decisions and judgement of referees. A parent, coach or player can disagree with a referee’s decision or judgement, but it will never change the call. Referees are specifically trained to stand behind their decisions even if they may be incorrect. It’s a key component of the game. Vocalizing or even physically displaying disagreement with a referee’s decision is dissent and can result, at the referee’s sole discretion, in a booking.

I’m passionate about THE game and will defend the integrity of the participants. I have been involved in NH Soccer on every single level, from playing it for decades, coaching, administration, parent of a player, and yes reffing.

People that whine constantly about the game and refs do damage to the game. That hurts to see. Most refs are out there trying to keep the game alive and having to deal with uneducated parents bloviating about their feelings about in game decisions only drives them away.

Do something to actually help the game vs trying to tear it down. As mentioned, put your vast knowledge to work and help out.

both plays were dirty. One resulted in the next. Everyone in stands felt horrible for the girl carted off scary to see.

I agree that everyone present felt horrible for the girl that was hurt. No one wants to see a player injured or hurt. I personally don’t think the play was “dirty”, but I agreed with the foul and even the card. Those 2 players were both attempting to make a play, and the CB player did a great job of keeping the HB player from keeping the ball in play. That play is a perfect example of why the USMNT and FIFA require grass fields for high level play. When the CB defender shifted her body position 90 degrees to better post on the HB players attempt to keep the ball in play she suffered a significant injury. This is sadly the curse of turf, there is no release from the turf when the cleat locks in. Nothing about that sequence is “dirty”. I understand parents are sensitive to an injured child, but when kids take part in sports it’s a real risk even when everything goes well.

Looking forward to the D1 AllStar game this weekend.

                  Good perspective

Never heard of the D1 all star game before. How long have they had that?
