Same as the Timberwolves the year before, not too good.

That is being kind. It was a joke...along with a lot of other NH teams.

Except that the team could have been a lot better.

If they could have been better then they would have won. Water settles to its own level. Lets admit it, for NH, winning State Cup is the prize. Being pounding in Regionals sucks!!

I think the poster is saying that the U13 team could have been better if they combined this year...and probably a lot more competitive at regionals. The club elected not to because the coaches couldn't work it out.

For any team, competing in Regionals is not only an honor, but a great experience for the kids. Pounded or not, they get to see what's out there at their age level and play their best against the best. Put in the right light, where's the downside?
Beyond that, certain NH teams did fine. The Seacoast U-17 girls went to the finals and lost in OT. I watched the U-18 boys play the #4 team in the country with only two subs and they played a good match only down 1-0 at the half. The U-14G finished 1-2 and all three matches were very competitive against the regions #4, #15 and #69 teams. No poundings there. They all went there, did that and got the T-Shirt, and it was Priceless.

I was the "pounded" poster, and you make a very good argument about the experience and that should never be taken away from the players. Thanks for that reality check.

I'm a parent of a player on one of the NH teams who got "pounded" at Regionals. While the results were not what we were hoping for, you are exactly right about the honor and the experience. The kids had a great time (as did the parents), bonded as a team, and got a taste of the big stage and what to expect if they are lucky enough to get back next year.

To those who seem to take glee in calling attention to the "pounding", I can only assume the same would have happened to your club of interest, as they were not good enough to get there this time around.

For the kids, winning State Cup was probably the biggest thrill of their young athletic lives, which wasn't diminished by the results at Regionals. If anything, it has them more dedicated to get there again and improve on this year's results.

Good luck in the upcoming 2012-2013 season to all NH teams!
