Who is basing it off this forum? I witnessed it first hand and everyone know Seacoast is the superior club in the state.

World Cup Parent here. While I did not hear the Classics coach directly, my son and another player did tell me that the Classics coach did say a couple things to players on the Nashua World Cup team. There was a discussion with the ref and there didn't seem to be any major issue after that although 12 year old players will dwell on it. One thing I can say as a fact for Nashua is that they are very well behaved and that would not have been tolerated or instigated. There is a reason Nashua won the Fair Play award in the Fall Championships and again for Spring State Cup. It is a classy team as well as being quite good.

Two posts early someone said that based on this information Classics dropped off the list. That was my only point. I agree Seacoast has a great team and the Classics team is getting much better. I am not debating that, just don't base your choices off this forum, that is foolish.

They were not making judgments from information from this forum. The judgment was from watching the classics coach at the world cup game.

Any info on Jay Joseph? Looking toward tryouts for multiple teams. Seacoast for me is a little pricy.

What are you looking for? He has been involved with the Classics for 20 years, his kids are out of college, but he still coaches because he loves the game. There are many folks that love him and some that do not. He is always up front with parents and is honest with evaluations. if you kid is on the bubble he will let you know, which makes some parents nuts. He is devoted to soccer so does not have much tolerence for kids playing multiple sports if soccer is not number 1 on the priority list. Overall very strong coach, develops players, recruits players.....

My analysis is that he does not really develop players that well. He does recruit quite well. Poster is right when he says some like him and some don't. Probably 50/50.

That's the classics in a nutshell...and for that matter MPS/NHPSA

i was very impressed with my sons tryouts tonight with NHPSA...not knowing what to expect they had more than enough evaluators from what i could see, they handed out a lot of information, and spent time to answer all of parents questions. a very good first impression.

Of course they did. I was there as well but still very leary. They definitely needed to do that as they are "new" in town and trying to sell you the farm. Sort of strange because if you think about it long enough I almost think it could backfire. Why are they trying to sell it so hard? I get it but other clubs don't "sell" so much. Still undecided about it all.

What club were you with before? Classics, Granite, or other? Trying to get your perspective.

Not sure what you mean by "sell it", but there were 10 or so evaluators there to work with 7 or 8 groups....is that overkill?

To bad the nhpsa 2nd tryouts overlap with the world cup 2nd tryout. A decision.

meaning they promise you the world and they are better than all others, blah, blah.

Not sure they overpromise. Like any club they try to sell their service, but name a club that does not
