I agree with the other poster...they oversell.

From what I saw and also heard at other age groups world cup has a lot more at their tryouts than NHPSA...and it also was running a little smoother.

So NHPSA had about 400 in total, I do not know what worldcup had. As far as smooth goes, I was at the Monday NHPSA tryout and it was smooth so I am not sure what you mean. Keep in mind that NHPSA Classics was at 3 different locations.

Good luck to all at whatever tryout they are at!

Not sure but someone said over 500 at World Cup. Not sure how reliable that is. I do know they did have a ton at U11 boys, U12 boys, U13 boys, U13 and U14 girls. Not sure about the other age groups. Anyways lots of options for all players this year with whatever club they go with.

They just said it ran smoother. they didn't say it NHPSA wasn't smooth. Just not as smooth to them apparently. Everyone is so defensive on this board.

smooth would not be a word I would use to describe my sons World Cup tryout....amateurish, unprofessional, unorganised would be more appropriate

Anyone smell NHPSA here? "unorganised" = British spelling

Plus I know they are thoroughly embarrassed with the turnout for several of the boys age groups.

And that is the same complaint I heard for those that went to NHPSA...unorganized and one person even said laughable.

HEY NHPSA - Just stop spreading the hate. If the kids come, then they come. If they don't, then don't resort to low life rhetoric. (Following in the foot steps of MA MPS)

I am not sure what your problem is, maybe your kid did not make the A team, but I can tell you that the NHPSA tryouts were VERY well run. I would assume your kid was one of the last to know Winston was not going to be coaching the A squad at World Cup. Sorry, you lose.

Just use the American spelling of words and we won't know it NHPSA posting.

You can just smell the hate..."sorry, you lose". Very sad.

No hate, just can't stand parents like you who make it about themselves and not the kids playing. I am not NHPSA but was at the WC tryouts for the u12's. They sent a group of maybe 50+ kids out to warm up, with no leadership, for about 30 minutes....very rarely were paying attention to the drills/play.

How am I making it about myself.

I was at both as well and quite frankly I think your assessment of the tryouts for both is very whacked. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

I agree with the other poster. It is very clear you are from NHPSA from your word choices...not just the spelling but world like amateurish and unprofessional. I was at a LW tryout and I heard what he had to say. They certainly were expecting more kids and he admitted as much. But that did not stop him from downplaying other clubs which to me was unprofessional. And your are definitely misrepresenting what happened at WC or at least have a much different interpretation.

We can debate all day if I am from NHPS (I am not), but how can you deny that the u12 WC tryout was a mess? IF you were there, they threw the kids out solo to "warm-up" for close to 30 minutes...FACT...I know a few folks from WC and they enjoy the group they are with. Let's face, every program is the same...good and bad coaches, good and bad parents, the rest is just noise. I want my kid to play hard, have fun and progress. If that is with NHPS, WC or Seacoast that is fine with me!

Still disagree about the tryout and warmup piece...but the rest I agree with. And FYI - our first choice is Seacoast anyway, then WC, then not sure. I just felt like there was an agenda...as each club does have. I just found NHPSA to be ridiculous.
