I can’t help but think how different the reaction would be if President Obama intervened in a case and decided to cut a prison sentence short. Hypothetically speaking, let’s say someone was convicted of espionage—spying—and had his 35-year sentence reduced to six years by President Obama. Oh, wait, no need to speak in hypotheticals—that happened. See Chelsea Manning.

President Trump commuted the sentence on Wednesday of a 63-year-old woman serving life in prison for a nonviolent drug conviction after her case was brought to his attention by the reality television star Kim Kardashian West.

Although short of a full pardon, the decision will free Alice Marie Johnson, who has been locked up in federal prison in Alabama since 1996 on charges related to cocaine distribution and money laundering. Ms. Kardashian West, who learned of the case through a video that went viral on social media, visited Mr. Trump at the White House last week to lobby on Ms. Johnson’s behalf.

“While this administration will always be very tough on crime, it believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance,” the White House said in a statement announcing the commutation.

When FBI agents arrested 61-year-old John Martin Roos in White City, Oregon, for threatening federal officials, including then-President Barack Obama, they found several pipe bombs and guns in his home. In the three months before his arrest, Roos posted at least 34 messages to Twitter about Trump, repeatedly threatening African Americans, Muslims, Mexican immigrants and the "liberal media," and in court documents, prosecutors noted that the avowed Trump supporter posted this threatening message to Facebook a month earlier: "The establishment is trying to steal the election from Trump. ... Obama is already on a kill list ... Your [name] can be there too." Roos, who is white, has since pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered explosive device and posting internet threats against federal officials. He was sentenced to more than five years in prison.

Hearing from some members of the Yang Gang who now say they will vote Trump 2020 because they want to support a working class candidate but don't like Bernie's culturally woke element. Interesting phenomenon

Stanford university graduates and Reality Check pollsters Benjamin Leff and Sam Riber said this is because Yang and Trump have a similar message on the importance of job creation on US soil.

“Yang’s message of job loss due to technological change likely resonated with previous Trump supporters whole felt excluded from America’s modern economy,” Leff said.

Working class candidate. What a joke.

Remember all those working class folks that Trump gypped when it came time to pay the bills for the work they had done. There were lots of them. And some of them were forced to go out of business. Yeah, that’s a real working class candidate.

We're talking about threats to Trump supporters. Presidents are always getting threats. Remember Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield,, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy?

After 54-year-old Henry Slapnik attacked his African-American neighbors with a knife in Cleveland, he told police "Donald Trump will fix them because they are scared of Donald Trump," according to police reports. Slapnik, who is white, ultimately pleaded guilty to "ethnic intimidation" and other charges. It's unclear what sentence he received.

Pretty sure we can find lots of Twitter rants against Trump supporters. The difference is that they don't often become national headline news with a liberal, Trump despising media in the US. You'll have to turn to the BBC.
