Have at it - there were at least a dozen reasons to be concerned about Russian interference. It was plausible Trump was a willing participant or possibly just a useful idiot. There were multiple convictions and guilty pleas and dozens of international intel agencies have verified findings. The Italian PM came about yesterday and said they had nothing to do with it, despite Bill Barr and Ghouliani trying to get dirt in Italy.

I really wish the administration in charge at the time took the threats seriously.

“I read the House rules,” Napolitano said. “And as frustrating as it may be to have these hearings going on behind closed doors—the hearings over which Congressman Schiff is presiding—they are consistent with the rules.”

“They can make up any rules they want?!” Brian Kilmeade replied.

Speaking more slowly, Napolitano told him, “Well, they can’t change the rules, they follow the rules.” He went to explain that those rules were last written in January 2015 when Republicans held the majority and the Speaker of the House was John Boehner."
Judge Napolitano has been among the "Never Trump" voices claiming that pretty much everything Trump’s accused of he’s guilty. So when the judge goes the other way, it kind of shocking.

NAPOLITANO: "I know this is gonna sound weird. These are not the impeachment hearings. The impeachment hearings have to be held in public by the House Judiciary Committee. This is the initial interview of witnesses to see what they have to say to determine whether or not they are even worthy of presenting evidence of impeachment."

You can’t do impeachment in private. You can’t do impeachment without both parties. You can’t do impeachment without cross-examination of witnesses. You can’t do what Schiff is doing.

Here's reality Mr Lib. When the Russian collusion hoax didn't work, then all there was left was try for something via the Ukraine collusion hoax. We ALL know impeachment is going nowhere, but that was never the real intent because old Nancy knew it could backfire. But Graham is right. The real goal is simply to drag this out as long as they can in hopes of driving down Trump's number long enough to affect the 2020 elections. They got nothing else with the losers currently representing the party's frontrunners. And some analysts are already predicting Dems will eventually come out with a holier than thou statement, "For the good of the country we will not pursue impeachment and let voters decide." You suckers will believe it too. It's great strategy, BUT as much as the Dems and their media handmaidens would have us believe, the GOP is kicking butt. Dems know it and their scared.

Dems Beware -- the RNC Is Crushing It
            https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ar...it_141582.html

The Republican National Committee’s formidable operation has Democrats freaking out.
For months Democrats have worried about a potentially lethal combination of Trump’s incumbency advantage coupled with the unparalleled strength of the GOP organization -- and that was before their newfound fear that they may not end up with a suitable nominee to take on even a deeply embattled Trump. While he rants on Twitter and holds campaign rallies, Democrats in a primary race get little notice or coverage. Meanwhile the Trump campaign is carpet-bombing Facebook with ads and the RNC is spreading a volunteer army across key swing states, all while breaking fundraising records allowing them to deploy critical resources nearly a year before a Democrat is nominated.

This terrifying realization is now causing allies of former Vice President Joe Biden to mull the creation of a super PAC since he is not only struggling to raise adequate sums but has been forced to fend off attacks by Trump months before the first votes in the primary contest will even be cast.

In August the RNC tripled the amount the DNC raised in July. In September the RNC quadrupled the DNC total. September was the best non-election-year month for the RNC in history for either party, raising $27.3 million to the DNC’s $6.9 million. The RNC is carrying no debt; the DNC is carrying $7.2 million. The RNC has $59.2 million cash on hand while the DNC has $8.6 million. The RNC’s 2019 total is $168.7 million while the DNC has raised only $66.5 million this year.

The combined total raised online from small donors in the third quarter between the RNC, the Trump campaign and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee was $45 million, with a surge of 313,000 first-time small-dollar donors just in that quarter.

Impeachment has been a boon to GOP fundraising and grassroots organizing.

                Too funny.

Washington Post: Democrats say whistleblower’s testimony is unnecessary

Just imagine media's response if Republicans said something like that.

Do you mean Mitt Romney or Pierre Delecto?

I think Pierre just made anything Mitt has to say about Trump irrelevant.

A freshman California congresswoman reportedly carried on a long-term “throuple” with her husband and a younger female staffer — which has come to light amid her contentious divorce.

Democratic Rep. Katie Hill, 32, became involved in the unconventional long-term relationship in late 2017 with her now-estranged husband, Kenny Heslep, and a female campaign worker, according to RedState.

The conservative outlet backed up its claim with photos of Hill and the staffer — who was not identified by name — embracing and locked in a kiss.

                    https://nypost.com/2019/10/22/freshm...itter-divorce/
Well, this answers the question of whether she was underage. She was 22 at the start of the three way affair.

Hey TMan, does this qualify for corruption? Not the affair, but the pay offs.

California Democratic Rep. Katie Hill was still paying consulting fees to her campaign staffer and former lover Morgan Desjardins, 24, as recently as last month.

According to FEC Records, since April 2019, Hill's campaign has paid a little over $14,000 in fundraising-related consulting fees to Desjardins, doling out around $2,500 most months. Additionally, between 2017 and 2018, she made around $50,000 as a senior campaign staffer.

Hill, who is facing a House Ethics Committee investigation over allegations she had an intimate relationship with her legislative director, Graham Kelly.

                    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...onsulting-fees

"I know that even a consensual relationship with a subordinate is inappropriate, but I still allowed it to happen despite my better judgment," Hill wrote.

She was banging not one, but two of her staffers — one of them male, the other female.

She says her husband is abusive. Her husband says he asked for the divorce over the affair with Kelly. He doesn't mind the threesome, but draws the line with bringing in another male apparently. Maybe she thinks her abusive because he wouldn't allow the guy in on the fun.

                    https://nypost.com/2019/10/24/leaked...-cross-tattoo/

And she has an iron cross tattoo??? Is that like wearing a Nazi insignia? Or having a 88 tattoo?

And apparently she also has a drinking problem to boot.

RedState also published a series of purported late-night texts in which Heslep called into question Hill’s drinking. Other texts showed the female staffer involved in the "throuple" expressing concerns about Hill's drinking.

there's more to what he said -

“I read the House rules, and as frustrating as it may be to have these hearings going on behind closed doors, the hearings for which Congressman Schiff is presiding, they are consistent with the rules,” Napolitano said. The judge noted that the “initial level of inquiry” in the impeachment questioning can be “done in secret,” like the witness interviews during President Nixon’s and President Clinton’s impeachment proceedings.

However, eventually the House Democrats are going to have to bring the information out into the public so the president’s lawyers can cross-examine the witnesses, the “Liberty File” host said...."https://thehill.com/homenews/media/467337-fox-news-napolitano-republicans-are-protesting-their-own-rules-for-impeachment

Which is exactly what the Dems have been saying - that they will go public, possibly as early as mid November. And, more importantly, THEN it goes to the Senate. This won't be over for quite some tim, plenty of time to get all the information out there. tRump knows the clock is ticking and doesn't want this hanging over him going into next year. But, since he keeps obstructing (now telling witnesses to ignore Congressional orders) all he is doing is dragging it out longer.

In this case what Trump did has been confirmed by multiple witnesses and even what Trump and the WH have said/released. They still retain the right to have him/her testify if they decide to. You all keep freaking out like the Senate impeachment vote will be tomorrow. This will take some time.

Confirmed? No it hasn't been confirmed. How could it be confirmed when Democrats won't release the transcripts of the testimony to the public. You are only hearing what Democrats want you to hear. Are you really that stupid???

New York Times headlines read this week: "An Envoy’s Damning Account of Trump’s Ukraine Pressure and Its Consequences"

But buried in the article: "Yet in the publicly released portion of his testimony, Mr. Taylor neither described any direct conversation with Mr. Trump himself nor made any reference to documents or recordings that would explicitly implicate the president. Instead, he provided a road map for investigators by quoting others around Mr. Trump describing his actions and statements."

If the New York Times was reporting on a Democrat the headline would read: "Taylor has no direct knowledge to implicate the president".
