Not the poster but I saw the same elsewhere. Volker isn't a Trump appointment flunkie, unlike Pompeo or Barr.

"Volker's work with the State Department was a part-time, volunteer job. He held on to his position at the McCain Institute and BGR, a powerful lobbying firm that represents Ukraine and Raytheon.

Raytheon manufactures the Javelin missiles that were part of the Trump administration's military aid package to Ukraine. The work raised questions about potential conflicts of interest. Volker did have an ethics agreement approved by State Department lawyers and recused himself from some of BGR's work. He has not been accused of violating any conflict-of-interest rules.

Instead, it is Volker's work with Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, that is now under investigation. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, tweeted on Sept. 27 that Volker has "a well deserved reputation for fairness, toughness and integrity."

But, Murphy told NPR, "my esteem for Kurt frankly makes me even more disappointed that he has become part of this mess and perhaps facilitated the corruption of the State Department."

Volker resigned as special representative on Sept. 27. Volker offered no public explanation, and Murphy — who recently visited Ukraine — is calling on him to speak up now.

"I'm glad that Kurt stepped down, and now he needs to fess up to what he knows and what he did," said Murphy. https://www.npr.org/2019/10/03/76649...chment-inquiry

From the Washington Examiner: Kurt Volker, the former special representative for Ukraine negotiations, will dispute Rudy Giuliani’s account of back channel meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, sources told the Washington Examiner.

“He's not going to take a fall needlessly for people if it's not warranted,” said Evelyn Farkas, a friend who worked as deputy assistant secretary of defense for three years under Barack Obama.

A trip down Memory Lane, a fairly incestuous Memory Lane.

Evelyn Farkas is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia during the Obama administration. During the 2016 Presidential election Farkas served as a senior foreign policy advisor for Hillary Clinton. Farkas is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and serves along side Dmitri Alperovitch, the Russian born co-founder of CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is the security firm that the DNC hired to analyze their server and who determined the DNC had been hacked by Russians. The FBI never independently examined the DNC server to confirm their analyst. CrowdStrike also accused Russia of hacking a Ukrainian artillery software during the time Russia was invading Ukraine resulting in thousands of troop deaths. CrowdStrike had to withdraw its report and admitted that it's analyst was wrong.

Farkas left the government in 2015, but she retained her security clearance. By her own admission she continued to receive classified information on Donald Trump throughout 2016 and into 2017. On March 2, 2017 Farkas, while interviewed on MSNBC's Morning Joe:

“I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration. Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior people who left. So, it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, that the Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about their -- the staff, the Trump staff's dealing with Russians, that they would try to compromise those sources and methods... So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more."

From the Washington Examiner: "Volker, who took the unpaid diplomatic assignment in addition to his work at the McCain Institute for International Leadership"

Unpaid assignment??? While working for the John McCain institute??? Me thinks Volker might have a bit of anti-Trump bias and was working with Farkas.

“I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can."

Just supports Trump's supposition that the deep state was out to get him.

                    Different poster -

All those polls were taken before the current issue heated up. The polling you cite ranged from sept 8 and sept 25....

But now I’m gonna sit back and 🍿and watch the guy who rejects polls desperately argue “trends” in polls in defense of Trump.

Just more intellectual dishonesty from TMan.

You are the one who tried to pull the wool over the eyes of this forums by trying to make the case that the Washington Examiner and CNN were reporting the same. Out of ignorance or pure intent you failed to report the source of the quote was Evelyn Farkas, a deep state employee out to get Trump the day her candidate lost on November 8, 2016.

                        That's what desperation looks like.

But thanks TMan. At least we all know now that the unpaid special representative to the Ukraine, employee of the John McCain Institute and lobbyist for BGR is a friend of Evelyn Farkas. We wouldn't know that if it weren't for you.

I hate to tell you this, TMan, but those number represent an outlier for Rasmussen. I can almost guarantee a month from now they'll be back where they always are.

How's this poll strike you, TMan?

Comedienne Rosie O’Donnell launched a Twitter poll on Sunday to see how many people favored impeachment. Out of 272,582 people, only 42% said “Hell Yes” when questioned if Trump should be impeached while another 58% said “Hell No.”

                            Now that's worth laughing at.

And keeping with liberal strategy whenever someone disagrees with them, Rosie deleted her Twitter poll.

                                Hollywood Hypocrisy

"I don't think he's capable of resigning," De Niro told Stelter. "He will say it's rigged or this or that. The day after he was elected, I said, well, give him a chance. You never know. You will see. But he is the — he's worse than I ever could have imagined."

But De Niro's comments on Trump haven't always been warmly received by the president's supporters. While a speech at last year's Tony Awards — in which he said "F--- Trump" twice — was met with a standing ovation by the event's attendees, it also prompted criticism from Fox News.

"F--- them, f--- them," De Niro said to Stelter of his critics on Fox News, before theatrically apologizing for cursing. When Stelter asked about his use of foul language to make the point, De Niro justified it by saying "this guy is like a gangster" and "we're in a terrible situation." He also said he thinks Fox News is responsible for propping up Trump.
"Some of these other pundits on Fox ... I can't believe that they would actually buy into this craziness. This guy is — should not be president, period," De Niro said. "And this guy just keeps going on and on and on without being stopped."

A former employee at Robert De Niro’s production company slammed "The Irishman" actor with a federal lawsuit on Thursday claiming he harassed her and discriminated against her for being a woman – then retaliated against her when she told him of her plans to take legal action, according to bombshell court papers.

"Ms. [Graham Chase] Robinson has no choice but ... to send him a message: the Harvey Weinsteins of this world should realize their approach is extinct. You can no longer intimidate women. You can no longer threaten them," Robinson's attorney, Jeremy Heisler, told FOX Business.

In one example, De Niro allegedly went ballistic on the woman, calling her a “spoiled brat” in an explicit voicemail when she did not answer his phone call, according to the suit.

“How dare you f------ disrespect me?,” he said in the voicemail, in which he also told her: “You’re f------ history.”

She joined as an idealistic young woman who hoped to advance in the film industry have her own production company, but instead of giving their challenging assignments and giving her duties that match her titles, he demeaned her, treated her as... [an] object -- as a woman and therefore his possession."

Instead, De Niro allegedly gave her "unwanted physical contact," and made unwanted "sexually charged" comments, court papers show.

“He treated Ms. Robinson as his ‘office wife,’ assigned her stereotypically female duties like housework, and insisted that she be available to him around the clock.”

Just another Hollywood Liberal who lives in a glass house and pontificates on how to the common folk should act but knows they are no bettah'. Gets me to thinking...Tee Hee's schedule seems to align with Pacific Time.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
