It told them the horror they felt over Trump’s election would be alleviated in short order..these people were urged for years to place their trust in Santa BOB, who knew all and whose investigation would surely lead to impeachment and “the end... All you had to do was keep turning in, because the good news could come any minute now! The bombshell is coming! Never mind that this is causing our profits to soar. Don’t wonder about our motives, even though outlets like MSNBC saw a 62 percent bump in viewership in the first full year of Russiagate coverage. Just keep tuning in. The walls are closing in!"

Jussie Smollett bombshell pits Obama chiefs of staff against one another
      https://www.foxnews.com/politics/smo...st-one-another

Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney and Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff "reached out to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx just days after Smollett reported the alleged attack. “I wanted to give you a call on behalf of Jussie Smollett and family who I know. They have concerns about the investigation,” Tchen wrote in a text message to Foxx. The Chicago lawyer also gave Foxx’s number to a relative of Smollett’s who was concerned about the Chicago police’s handling of the investigation, and hoped to have the case handed over to the FBI."

Just imagine if it was Melania's chief of staff, TMan would be having a conniption.

Celebrity justice: Cook County clerk’s office tells @ABC they were shocked that no written motions were filed with the court in connection with today’s surprising dismissal in the Smollett case. On top of that, the case has been wiped off their database as if it never existed. - Terry Moran, Senior National Correspondent, ABC News

George Soros donated $408,000 in 2016 to a super PAC that supported Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office prosecuted — and dropped — the Jussie Smollett case.

Everyone is confused by the Smollet case. On the one hand DAs make deals all the time to avoid going to trial. DA offices and the courts can't possibly handle the case load without deals being struck. What is unusual with his is that his was 16 felony counts - not violent offenses but multiple counts - and it was such a public case and so many manhours were dedicated because he was a celebrity. Even with a deal normally he'd get at least some lower level misdemeanor. From a punishment standpoint his community service was an absolute joke and $10K is not something he'll feel (well, until he runs out of money because he can't get work). Reports say he stuffed envelopes and worked in a charity shop. He should have done a few hundred hours on substantive community work

note the common thread - high paying tech jobs pushing up real estate prices to unaffordable levels. Housing affordability is a national problem but it's far worse in large cities. Supply and demand issues can't be entirely blamed on political policies.

Possibility exists that he was also subjected to lots of threats and prosecutors didn’t want to reveal that later during trial .....

Formally a possibility until it’s proven not to be ....

Stephen L. Hill, a partner at Denton’s in Kansas City and former federal prosecutor, summed up the next steps in the Nike case this way: “The Southern District of New York has demonstrated that it considers addressing corruption in amateur basketball, including college basketball, a priority. It’s fair to assume that if Avenatti or anyone else had information about inappropriate conduct in this space, that they would at least listen. There should be no confusion whether they condone the approach he took, because it’s clear on its face they don’t. However, I think given their enormous presence in college basketball they’d at least have to listen to what he’d have to say.”

Avenatti’s arrest doesn’t necessarily minimize the information he threatened to bring forward. His defense is clearly going to be that he’s a truth teller, which could end up putting pressure on SDNY to take a longer look at Nike after spending so much time investigating Adidas. Around the sport, coaches have long joked that Adidas and its infamous “Black Opps” grassroots division wasn’t bidding against itself for star players. (Adidas officials discussed keeping the Black Opps team presence secret on company e-mail, which arose in the first trial.)

I see Avenatti is still a hero to the TMan.

                              Bwahahaha!

Whatever Michael Avenatti Has On Nike, No One Really Gives A Schitt
                              https://deadspin.com/whatever-michae...-gi-1833580124

                              - In the California case, a 197-page document outlines how authorities believe Avenatti misrepresented tax returns to receive a loan from a Mississippi bank and also kept for himself a $1.6 million settlement that was supposed to go to a client.

                              - Avenatti’s law firm twice filed for bankruptcy in the last three years.

                              - Allegations of domestic violence in November.

                              - Owe his estranged wife and child $1.5 million in spousal and child support.

And that's just in the past 6 months. but let's not forget how Democrats peddled Michael Avenatti's absurd attacks against Brett Kavanaugh.

Ya, but he's going to expose Nike's questionable practices.

                              Bwahahaha!

The guy is probably going to jail and probably for a long time.

Read between the lines , moron.

Dems have learned to “frame “ from Trump just like you bragged about learning “alinsky rules”

Mueller didn’t leak and was diligent and trumps lies degraded public opinion about the investigation some .

So no Mueller to “shoot at “ anymore until Barr’s cover up is more fully exposed. Then Muelller is seems as more sympathetic .

Importantly nothing went away ...it’s all been farmed out ....

                                Hahahahaha

So when MORE charges and allegation appear what will Trump do? Jihad against someone else ?

Cons your “board position” is eroding
