Now why would Manafort lie ....WASHINGTON — A federal judge ruled on Wednesday that Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, repeatedly lied to prosecutors after he agreed to cooperate with the special counsel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
The decision by Judge Amy Berman Jackson of United States District Court may affect the sentence she hands out in the coming weeks to Mr. Manafort, 69. Judge Jackson said that Mr. Manafort had intentionally lied about his contacts with a Russian associate during the campaign and after Mr. Trump was elected.
Prosecutors have said that the associate, Konstantin V. Kilimnik, has ties to Russian intelligence services. The judge also found that Mr. Manafort had lied about a payment that was routed through a pro-Trump political action committee to cover his legal bills, and about information relevant to another undisclosed investigation underway at the Justice Department.
Mr. Manafort was convicted last year of eight felonies, including tax and bank fraud. He later pleaded guilty to two additional conspiracy counts in a case before Judge Jackson, and agreed at that point to cooperate with prosecutors from the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III.

How about we kick the ten to 20 million illegals out of the country, and use the savings from what they are stealing to pay down the debt ? How about we stop the Red Carpet treatment given to illegals as they cross the border. We also know a wall or a fence is easily breeched. On the new episode of "Moms" on Fox Nation, two wives of U.S. Border Patrol agents described the stigma now associated with their husbands' jobs.
In a revealing sit-down with Rachel Campos-Duffy, Renea Perez and Jill Demanski said they've faced accusations of racism and sometimes are hesitant to tell people what their husbands do.
"I have had people literally say to my face that I'm racist. They call me a privileged white girl. They don't know any of my background or my story," said Demanski.
Campos-Duffy said many people don't realize the Border Patrol force is 52 percent Hispanic. Perez said her husband is Hispanic and she's "very proud proud of what he does every day," despite the critics.
"But I think twice about saying what he does. I shouldn't have to feel that way," she explained.Comment
