DAVOS, Switzerland — Fears are rising about the state of the world’s biggest economies, with China posting its worst annual growth in decades and the United States injecting more uncertainty with tariffs and a lengthy government shutdown. China reported Monday that its economy expanded by 6.6 percent last year — a figure that would be good for many countries but represents the slowest growth for China in 28 years. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund downgraded its expectations for the global economy, highlighting sharp declines in Europe and warning that the risks of a major slowdown have increased.

The pair of announcements came as top executives and world leaders gathered in this ritzy ski resort town for the annual World Economic Forum. In contrast to a year ago — when President Trump and other world leaders talked about global prosperity — this year attendees expressed worry that the United States was undermining its own economy, and the rest of the world’s, via a trade war and the longest partial government shutdown in U.S. history.

A new soon to be released book by a WH aid is another portrayal of utter chaos and dysfunction in the administration https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...=.aeb50011aa03

The browbeating of the top Republican on Capitol Hill was one of the vivid snapshots of life inside the Trump White House told by one of its original inhabitants, Cliff Sims, in his 384-page tell-all, “Team of Vipers,” which goes on sale next week and was obtained in advance by The Post. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

Sims, who enjoyed uncommon personal access to Trump, recounts expletive-filled scenes of chaos, dysfunction and duplicity among the president, his family members and administration officials. Unlike memoirs of other Trump officials, Sims’s book is neither a sycophantic portrayal of the president nor a blistering account written to settle scores. The author presents himself as a true believer in Trump and his agenda, and even writes whimsically of the president, but still is critical of him, especially his morality. Sims also finds fault in himself, a rarity in Trump World, writing that at times he was “selfish,” “nakedly ambitious” and “a coward.”

A " Letter of Intent " is not " business'". It might lead to " business".
        Evidence ?
Agreements, Contracts, Offers , Considerations, Deposits, Funding, Loans, Grants, Tax breaks , property records.....
Where is any of that ?
And if so, what is illegal about any of that? He was a Private Citizen.

Because there isn't anything wrong with it. It is a simple" who cares ? " . No big deal. They are business people. Builders, developers. They communicate . They talk crap all day everyday to tons of people. We are not at war with Russia. Europe and dozens and dozens of countries do business with them. Europe would freeze of Russia shut off the energy. Why is talking to Russia such a big deal ? The are a tiny economy compared to us, and even the European Union. They have nukes, shouldn't we have some kind of a relationship with them ?

Russia is not our friend nor much of the world's. Putin has a devious agenda. He is still young and fit enough to wreak havoc for years to come.

I didn't say he was our friend. What I will say is that the Democrats preoccupation with him, their nearly endless steam of allegations of meddling on our elections, and the accusations leveled against them actually works to make relations with them more difficult.

The only " havoc" he is capable of is grabbing land , most of it with Russian speaking people , regarding disputes that have festered for quite a long time. The more oil we pump, the more their economy suffers. Try and buy a pair of windshield wiper blades in Russia, and you will understand how their economy teeters on the edge of disaster.

When NATO was set up, the fear was that Russia would try and take Western Europe. That thought isn't even on the radar today. The Democrats, the " anti-war " party of the past, are the " get Russia " party today because they want to " get Trump " , and have actually pushed us closer to war than at any time in recent history.

                  Con needs a refresher...

The CIA, the NSA, the FBI, and the Director of National Intelligence all concluded that the president of Russia, Vladimir V. Putin, personally “ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S. presidential election,” and turned from seeking to “denigrate” Hillary Clinton to developing “a clear preference for President-elect Trump.”

Wait, foreign governments try to influence elections? When did this start happening?
