Can't have much of a free market when corp's set up headquarters in foreign countries to avoid heavy tax burdens and when they move their manufacturing to other countries. Everybody enjoys the relative security and stability that the US singularly provides for, throughout the world, but nobody wants to fund it (pay taxes).
If the US weren't around to be the world's police force, then this global economy would crumble. That's a cost of business that nobody wants to factor in. Maybe all global companies should have their own navy's to protect their shipping? Maybe they should build their own roads to move product?

If you want a true free market then companies would be able to adjust their employee compensation. What would happen if Carrier cut pay by 30% across the board in order to compete/keep jobs? They would have a work stoppage on their hands, that's what.

All of these companies moving their manufacturing to Mexico aren't relying on the Mexican gov't to protect their investment. They know that if the drug cartels decide to shake them down that the US will handle it. Maybe Trump can send a bill to Mexico to cover this protection.

With what authority did the President elect lift any regulations with Carrier. EPA might have something to say about that.
